Hotel Shreemoyee Inn-Home outside home
by Uday Kumar H on
I booked one deluxe room two months before our journey. We stayed in the hotel for 4 days from 7 March to 10 March 2020. We checked out on 11 March forenoon. The Hotel Shreemoyee and Kamakhya Temple is separated by a lane 4 feet wide. The hotel is well visible from inside the temple. Kamakhya Temple and Hotel Shreemoyee are on Nilachal Hill. In early morning I was enjoying the beauty of Nilachal Hill from the window of the room. The rooms are having both AC and ceiling Fan which can be used based on need and choice of the occupant. The toilet is provided with all modern gadget like shampoo, body washing, conditioner, and liquid soap for saving or other use. The hotel has one taxi. The taxi picked us and also dropped at Guwahati Airport. I booked to and fro air tickets two months before in Indigo. On 9th March Monday we booked the taxi for local sightseeing. We had been to Nabagraha Temple, Umanand temple on Peacock Island of river Brahmaputra, Balaji Temple, Bhubaneswari Temple. The behaviour of the driver is modest. On discussion with wife we have decided to visit Kamakhya Temple once in a year and obviously we will stay in the Hotel Shreemoyee Inn for multiple reasons. We were visiting the temple for Darshan () in the morning and Kirtan () in the evening.
Awesome and mesmerizing experience of stay near Kamakhya temple

We stayed in this hotel for one day. The hotel is just near the boundary of well-known Kamakhya temple and that is the best part of it. We could view all the activities from the room itself. the room was value for money and the staff was courteous and very supportive. Above all, the food in their restaurant was great which you can't find in nearby places. Staying at this place allows to roam till late in the temple that is a meditative experience in itself. I will make it a point to stay in the same hotel everytime I go to Kamakhya...

The hotel is situated next to temple just left side of the temple main gate. The rooms are good . All facilities available. Food good but only veg. U can get a good view of the valley. The staff is very helpful. The hotel is not accessible by car n u need 2 climb some stairs. The hotel arranges for porters. It is best for pilgrims.
Best place to stay near Kamakhya Temple

This hotel is right adjacent to Kamakhya Temple. The lane that leads you to the hotel is like a corridor adjacent to the temple premises and is perfectly located for those that are visiting Guwahati only for Kamakhya darshan. The approach to the hotel is narrow and it would be difficult to carry luggage. There is no car park or portico. The food is good and the staff are courteous. The rooms are very spacious with clean bathrooms and linen. Recommended for pilgrims seeking over night stay at Kamakhya
Book rook well before if you want stay in festive occasions like Ambubachi, Nav Ratri, Holi, etc.
