What's Good: They were proactive and warm towards their guests.
What needs to improve : Nothing as such.
Reason For Rating : The welcoming was very warm with garlands and tilak. Also, they proactively checked the dob and arranged for the cake and even decorated the room. That was really considerate of them. Loved their services and food as well.

We stayed here for 2 nights and could happily have stayed longer. The Deluxe Double room was magnificent, with sumptuous bathroom, decor and very spacious suite area. The open area near the restaurant is very peaceful, with complimentary tea and biscuits and the restaurant itself very well laid out with attentive staff, particular shout out to the chef here, who discussed meal options with everyone personally, ensuring our needs were catered for and cooked to our requirements. We also used the luxurious spa facilities which I would most definitely recommend (they offer various packages from basic to extreme! All priced very reasonably compared to other Taj hotels we have stayed in). The bar and heritage walk are also must do's and our overall experience was made even better by all the staff here. This is a fantastic hotel!

It was a relaxing and quite place and the old palace has been well maintained including the garden, pool and gym etc. The charm of an historic palace with excellent service standards make this place an attractive place to stay any time...

Good and well kept rooms in heritage style and excellent staff. The entire property is in a heritage building of Maharaja of Gwalior. Staff arranged a heritage walk and evening tea for all guests. The bath rooms maybe provided with exhaust fans without disturbing the sanctity of heritage property.

A fantastic hotel with a warm welcome. The staff are great and very friendly. The hotel is in a quiet location but a good place to explore from. Nice pool and spa as well. Restaurant is fantastic as well. Chef Rakesh is awesome. We explained allergies in the family and he cooked dishes especially for us. A very special team.

Situated within the city but in a quite residential kind of area this hotel gives a peaceful feeling. Also making you feel "at home" is a Taj group specialty (in my opinion) so here too its like that. Check in was very comfortable as it was done in the room itself. Room is a true blue heritage with (probably) hand made coloured and beautifully patterned floor tiles. There is an attached dressing room and nice spacious bathroom with modern fittings and absolutely top class toiletries. Breakfast buffet was in the restaurant with courtyard and grounds view and spread was lavish although some things were under par i.e. stiff paratha and tad sour curd (you dont expect this, at least in North India). Also I would suggest lighter and more petit chairs for the restaurant because the present one's though comfortable but are so big that they unnecessarily obstruct movement and fill up the space. Any heritage property has its construction alternation limitations but the furniture can always be worked upon. Hotel has extensive grounds full of chirping birds, parrots, squirrels and some more. This was most soothing and relaxing. If one is fond of heritage living one would love this place.
