I came physically to this guesthouse and the worker over there showed me a room which i really liked and i told him to book that room for the day after, so the day after i came with all the luggage and they told me everything is already booked and my booking was not confirmed. Dont go there... also heard the owner is not friendly and a theif.

This place was a huge disappointment. Although the food was great, the rooms were good value and there were a lot of people to meet and socialise with, we experienced theft at this hostel by the owner. Upon checking out we were given our tab which was completely incorrect. They had added on another 7 items coming to a total of 1260 rupees which they refused to waiver and even threatened to call the police despite them being in the wrong. I kept a personal tab on what we had incase something like this happened. Very unprofessional and zero customer service. The female owner is an absolute rude nightmare as she was screaming at us with lies across the main reception which was highly embarrassing. They also messed up another person's tab whilst we were there and overcharged them with extra items too. Do not book transfers with them also as they overcharged significantly for those also. Would not recommend.

A nice place to stay in when you are out with your buddies on a fun filled trip. The hosts are amazing and the food is excellent. The staff tries their best to help you in every possible way. All in all, it was a great experience.

We booked in here after looking at the room as it was the cleanest hostel we had found on hippie Island; Trust me we had checked out quite a few. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We where impressed that although the place felt full they always grated us by name and where happy to give information or help plan. We stayed in a 3 man room with ensuit, a double bed and a single bed, all with mosquito nets. We payed 1400 rupees total per night. It's not spotlessly clean.... but the bathrooms are well looked after and the bed was comfortable and the sheets clean. The shower did go warm... but it was complex to get it to warm up. They also have a restaurant on site that served good food. I would recommend for breakfast but for other meals you can find better priced meals in town. I would definatly recommend staying here to any backpacker. It's a little walk out of the main area but it's easy and although I wouldn't call this a party hostel there where movie screenings at night and there where lots of people. There are some adorable huge great Danes who roam around, gentle giants. I wouldn't recommend trying to stroke them though they do snap if you get tooooo close. There are yoga sessions on site and other things to do. Stay here if you plan on staying on this side of the river.

I stayed there with my two kids in October 2018. We had inquired there a year ago but were driven off by the extraordinarily rude and arrogant owner. This year we wanted something very quiet and had sort of forgotten about her. Our experience: 1. the place is completely mosquito infested.24 hrs a day they are all over you. The bath doesn't have meshing, the door did not shut, which made it worse. Can't use the hammocks as you get eaten alive. 2. Alright, we came sort of after monsoon. But couldn't they clean the room? I had pre-booked. Upon my insisting two boys were sent, they swept the floor a little, and that was it. Unfolding the mosquito net, lifting up the blanket- all these things that fall off the roof etc like leaves, straw, etc - fell out. Bath was full of cob webs and critters and clearly had not been cleaned in a very, very long time. 3. tables at restaurant, cushions to sit on, everything had not been wiped/cleaned in ages. 4. There are a number of dogs and cats kept in tiny cages. When they are let out they poo everywhere. Nice in the dark. 5. Upon check-out they tried to charge extra on top of the price we had agreed on beforehand. 6. When I told the owner about the room not having been clean, she said "You know what? I don't give a s***!" (tripadvisor doesn't let me write the word she used) I couldn't believe it. There are much, much better and friendlier places in Hampi (for example next door!). This sort of "hospitality" should not be accepted. sad to see the thrilled reviews here- sad to see how little people care about respect and decency.
