The hotel was really nice. Mostly it was the staff. When we arrived after a VERY long day of travel, we were greeted by the manager with our keys, lead directly to dinner and asked to just bring our documentation the next morning. The pool was great. Nice breakfast. They even had a barbecue the final night of our stay. Each time we arrived back at the hotel, our vans were met with the keys to our rooms. Highly recommend.

Fantastic location, food nd experience. Swimming pool is carved in boulder, never seen anything like that. They mk Jain food as well on request. Most of the stuff is in house including bread, jam nd butter. Sunrise nd Sunset point is awesome. Best part was the route to reach there.Hiked entire property, did lot of photography.

Wow, what a place! I absolutely love Hampi not just for its famous ruins but also for its miles and miles of bizarre boulder strewn landscape. Hampis Boulders compliments it perfectly. The resort, aptly named, is in the midst of such beautiful landscape. The rooms are right on Thungabhadra river which is phenomenal by itself. But the fact that the river is at its widest here and runs through the crazy boulders makes it absolutely magical. For those who are unable to decide between Hyatt, Orange County/Evolve Back and Hampi's Boulders, I will try to make it simple: Hyatt place: Simple business hotel with a good pool in a nearby industrial town. You trade commute for room comfort. Orange County: Expensive (very), close by to hampi, good creature comforts. Palace themed resort but relatively a small property with very little to remind you of Hampis landscape. More like a poor mans Jaipur palace. Go here if you have money and dont want surprises. Hampi's Boulders: A setup run by local staff offering very comfortable authentic local experience. The ambience is phenomenal. Go here to break the monotony of curated (often over sanitised) experiences by big chain hotels of India. Few things to be aware of: Access involves last 10KM through small hamlets and paddy fields with distinct sights and smells of rural India. Dont panic, you have not lost your way. Food is predominantly South Indian, very tasty with a home-made feel but presented in a less than flattering way. Breakfast is good with cereal, toast, eggs along with a good spread of local dishes. They had a barbeque+fire during one of the nights and it was lovely. They have a swimming pool that is built on a large boulder's slope with the boulder serving as the floor of the pool. Very creative, beautiful and functional. There are plenty of monkeys. They are all over Hampi but this resort being next to river is a very lucrative hang-out spot for them. They are harmless but you have to get used to spotting their poop on the resort grounds. It might seem a tad expensive for what it offers in terms of food and room furnishings but do keep in mind that they have very few rooms for such a large property. I liked all river facing rooms, each offering a different type of view and connection to the river. They have cottages with 1,2 and 3 rooms so it's best to opt for the rooms based on your group size. If you are travelling from Bangalore, you have the option of overnight Hampi Express train with convenient timings. Book your tickets to Munirabad and they will offer you free pick up/drop

Our 3 day trip at Hampi's boulders was just sublime. We had our 4 year old daughter who enjoyed climbing the boulders and we took our 6 year old Labrador. The resort was very dog friendly even though this was the first time they let a dog in the property. Of course our dog was well trained and that made the process easier. They made special meals for her and made sure at all times that we were comfortable. The manager Kumar and his team were very warm and take care of each individual. Each cottage has a great view and could be the best way to enjoy and take in the beauty of Hampi. Will definitely return soon.
