Riverside Paradise, more than two centuries old house was built by one of the Rajas on the banks of Ganges. The spectacular view and access to the personal Ghat makes the stay worthwhile. It has a primitive look to it but the location and the music of the Ganges speaks for itself.
The place is close to the Ganges and Temples/Market( Harki Pauri). Youll love the place because of the outdoors space which is the view and access to the Ganges and also a small patio out front.

I stayed at the guestouse for 6 days last month. Its a great guesthouse which is well located for har ki pauri and the bypass road to rishikesh. It has excellent room with excellent facilities. The most important being the lack of traffic noise at night, as it backs onto the ganges. Whilst I was there it was quite cold in the evening and I was provided with a heater to warm the room. The staff and the owner were very polite, friendly, helpful and provided advice and guidance on where and when to visit. I arrived at the guesthouse at 5:00am without a pre booked room and knocked on the door. I was invited in given tea and made to feel at home. The manager prepared the spare room for me to take a shower, freshen up and get some rest, until the owner arrived just after ten. I had an excellent stay at the guesthouse and would like to them everyone concerned for their effort.... I look forward to visiting again next year.

We booked one non river view room for 2nd Nov. Its just beside Kush ghat. From Railway station, Rickshaw will take you to nearby stand which is 2 mins walk from this property. Upon reaching there, we are unexpectedly welcome by the news that our room is upgraded to the most Superior Room with River view facility in the house. Thanks to Mr. Harish. The room has 4 beds which is like playground for one couple. The room was clean and well arranged with modern Bathroom facility. You can watch Ganges flowing only 10 feet away from the three big windows of this room. Har ki Pauri is about 5 mins walking distance.Once you step outside of the house, there are lots of eateries around the narrow , chaotic lane but that is beauty of Haridwar and you should not miss it.The house has small private ghat barricade by rods and you should try bathing there. Tasty homemade food in the kitchen and served hot & fresh. We definitely love to visit again in Haridwar

Enter the time machine, set time to 18th century and you are at the guest house of Raja Patnimal Ji on the bank(its an edge though) of the river Ganges. If you are planning a trip to the Haridwar, then book your river facing room beforehand to ensure you get one. River facing rooms are the epitome of calm and relaxation. One can just keep gazing at the flowing Ganges from the window and may touch it if you can stretch your hand, some 8 feet or you can open the back door to access your exclusive that. if you are out of spell which got you mesmerised once you entered the place, then you can roam around in the market it is situated in or go to the Har ki Paudi ghat which is just a few minutes stroll. Mansa Devi Temple's foothill is also just at 5 minutes walking distance, from where you can start your ascend by foot or may take an Udan Khatola(cael car) to the temple. This all comes with the great food, made by Janki aunty at a nominal charge. food is tasty and easy on your belly. In the end I would like to quote, an Indian ad "Aur Kya Chaiye(what else you want)"

We had an amazing time at your guesthouse. The room had beautiful and mesmerizing view especially room number 3 was not less than experiencing stay in a cruise also the staff was very homely plus polite. The open bathing area in the Ganges was just cherry on top. In all it was a wonderful experience, we would definitely love to visit again..
