Nothing to like other than clean room.. lemme begin..! I have travelled and stayed in hotels for many years.. This is the WORST Experience i have faced..! I will say - i do not have very high expectation on what a hotel service must be like.. I have stayed in remotest villages in Ladakh with no running water and electricity available for only one hour (via generator set mainly for charging mobiles and gadgets). This is in middle of a big town (Hassan) and the hosts (an immature girl and a boy..) have not heard the word HOSPITALITY..! Also for first few hours - only person we could see was this girl and one maid.. She was shouting out loud like fish market to the maid who was in 2nd floor.. The girl in reception didn't had much clue about our booking (done via booking.com) on Oct 19th - 20th, 2018 1. No safe parking - no security seen in area. 2. Check in time in Booking.com is 12pm, but because roads in Coorg was really bad, and we are bikers, we reached by 4pm only - Still the room was not ready.. We waited for 15-20 minutes in their so called Restaurant.. (Story comes later..!). Room was partially ready with no waste bin, toiletries, bath towels etc.. 3. Finally checked in - and the rooms were good, toilets cleaned.. But there were no toiletries and bath towels.. not even a floor mat outside toilet. We asked for the same...and again...and again..we asked.. after 30 minutes one lady came and handed over all these to me and went away.. 4. They gave only one bath towel - we booked a Deluxe Double Room for 2 pax.. we asked for one more and the boy and girl at reception (which my wife went down 3 floors in person - as no one picked up the phone)said this is their hotel policy.. 5. As per their so called hotel policy, we had to ASK for everything more than one time..! there was no waste bin in the room - we asked 2-3 times and left it there.. it never came.. 6. Coming to the so called Veg. Restaurant available on the 1st floor of the same building - they only know to cook ONE Item - Fried Rice..! there was long menu in the room, but they provide only fried rice - that too without any side dish..! One Item Hotel..!! 7. They say they provide complimentary break fast.. but do not expect that..! we went to their hotel by 7.50 am.. the boy (whom we met from reception) said, food will be ready by 8am and to wait.. we waited till 8.10 and there was nobody to even ask..! couldn't trace where this boy ran away..! we had to visit places and not just sit at a hotel with no one.. so we went out and had food in another hotel nearby.. 8. I talked with the receptionist girl to get some explanation on whatever bad experience we were put into.. I said i have never faced such bad hospitality.. and asked whether they are actually open and in business still..! she was showing her face like f**k you and your travels.. Never ever thought of saying a sorry or any explanations. least bothered about what I was talking.. 9. We were coming back on 20.10.2018 at lunch time after visiting some temples- telephoned the hotel and asked whats available for lunch.. she checked with their restaurant and called back.. surprise..!! Fried Rice it is..! Nothing else.. We packed our dinner last night from nearby hotel (on 19.10.2018). Lunch was also done like that (packed from Phalguny Recidency- very near.. I must have booked a room there..) 10. list of disappointment goes on..!

Peacefull rooms , Good service staff clean ambience , well furnished pretty decent , situated in the heart of the city , The food is very testy nd hygienic Affordable price ,over all best hotel in Hassan

Best hotel in Hassan Town superb . Clean ,and tidy. Bathroom is well maintained calm n quiet. Breakfast is good. Overall best. Keep it up. Friendly staff,and ready to help. Felt like king. The juice center in the Mezzanine floor is good

Arrived early at around 7:00am, manager offer us a room for 3 in discount price. After a refreshing hot shower, we had a buffet breakfast at 1/F. Rooms clean, friendly and helpful staff, good food. Only one thing to improve is the Air-conditioning, temperature setting too high and make the room a bit hot especially after a long hot day outside. For all, highly recommend to stay at Amber Castle.
