What's Good: Location
What needs to improve : Grounds poorly maintained with plastic waste visible
Reason For Rating : Very well located property. The walking path slong the lake could be better maintained. Generally, while the front office is quite efficient and tries to be helpful, they are handicapped by the fact that this hotel seems to cater latgely to wedding finctions.

Stayed here recently & found the place is really good to stay with family. They have mesmerizing lake view from room & restaurant also. Rooms are spacious, specially lake side rooms. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

I found this 4 star hotel quite overrated. The room had a moldy smell (maybe uncleaned a/c filters). The restaurant staff was more interesting in checking me out rather than attending to me. As ridiculous as this may sound in a review, one really doesn't expect this kind of pathetic behavior from a reputed hotel. You need to specifically request for a room with a lake view, else you wont get it. Although the rates were lowered due to the latest financial 2019 budget, the hotel didn't adjust the rates. So I ended up paying extra money for an unsatisfactory experience. I would not recommend this place unless you are out of options.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights during a road trip with friends. I understand that this hotel has been made by a local person, which was leased out to Hotel Taj for 5 years, but is now being run again by the owner. The phones in the room had Hotel Taj stickers. The location of the hotel is good. It's on the lakeside and almost all windows in the hotel face the lake. There is plenty of parking. The staff were very courteous and helpful. WE had to extend our stay by 1 night and they helped us out in making the booking etc. They have a bar and lounge and a separate restaurant. The lounge is a good place to spend the evening. We had dinner in the restaurant. The food was tasty but the service was woefully slow. Its better to order everything upfront. a repeat order of even a roti takes 10 mins. There was a buffet dinner spread on one fo the nights. The rooms are comfortable and quite modern. They are just big enough to accommodate 2 persons with comfort. There was also an attached balcony, but no chairs or table. The linen was clean and fresh. The wifi was good too. There are plenty of facilities in the hotel. Swimming pool, tennis court, spa and many others. No indoor games such as snooker though. Overall, we had a very comfortable stay and I will be sure to stay here in my next visit to Hubli.

It is not often that you get to stay in a luxury hotel with lakeview rooms. I recently had such a privilege when I stayed at the Hotel Naveen in Hubli. This hotel is at least 20 years old and has aged gracefully. It is a reflection of the maintenance and upkeep of the property that it is still considered one of the (if not THE) best hotels in Hubli today. Set by the Unkal lake, it is like an oasis in the chaos that Hubli can sometimes be. The vast open spaces, the lawns, the long, paved walkways around the property and taking you to the edge of the lake, really make you feel like royalty. The icing on the cake is that you can get some steal deals (like we got!) that will help you enjoy the property and stay without burning a hole in your pocket!! The rooms are very well and luxuriously crafted. They are neat and clean- the housekeeping is vert efficient. The service is efficient, the staff are warm and courteous They even have a well equipped gym and a spa! So, all in all, a nice luxurious and high-end place to stay for a mid-rage price!
