We had a pleasant and wonderful stay at urimbi resort. we were three families staying at royal suit from aug 12 to 14 2015. The Manger Ravi was very helpful in planning our trip. Eventhough we had a cancelleation of fourth room at the last minute, he arranged other guests and charged as nothing. Starting from the jeep driver soman chettean , cook and in house cheif seban, pious all where very helpful and service oreinted. The place is simply awesome, the natural water fall cum pool in resort is fantastic. Rooms are spaciuous. Food is good. lunch was kerala style and fanatstic. But dinner you wont have much choice and usage of half cooked chappatis will spoil your appettite. A trip to madammakulam near by is a never miss option. What i felt was if we are travelling with kids, they wont have much option other than pool. the management should think of setting a game room. There are no shops near by and whatever your needs are should be planned before hand. Mobile network coverage is nil. wi fi is average. A place to relax and soak in the natures bueaty.

This is a good place to spend with you family especially if you have kids. The only problem is the travel up hill in the jeep on uneven road for about 30 to 45 minutes. If you can survive that and reach the top it is a different world of solitude up there. We were three families and the whole place was entirely for us. The children and elderly all can enjoy the natural waterfalls from the stream coming from up the hill. The natural water pool from the water coming from the stream seems very safe even for kids. Just be careful with kids as there is no lifeguards. But it is not very deep but adult supervision is better. We climbed up the hill to the top of the stream over rocks. A little adventure for fit adults and young children. We also trekked up the hill to elappara which was nice. Don't forget to get up in the morning by about 6 - 6.30 in the morning to view the cloud covered valley from the resort. It is a breath taking sight and worth whole stay. The food was fine. Taste the wonderful kappa and mulaku chammadi which will leave a memory in your tongue. Go for it if you like a little adventure, solitude and natural settings.
