My practical experience in Naman Bastar. We 5 person stayed 1 night in 2 rooms (Gold rooms 3A & 4B). Since Jagdalpur having few hotels, enroute Chitrakot waterfalls, so this hotel takes travellers as granted. Being premium property, this hotel lacks basic amenities, like 1. Termite on bamboo ceiling & wall, if some of termite get into your home through your luggage, then God save your home (See Image). Insects and frogs in room. Bamboo ceiling had gaps & noise during night. 2. Outdated, damaged AC- made noise & fluctuate whole night. Temperature not coming down 27 degree (See image) 3. Stingy mattress, Stained-Oily smelly pillow - appears decades old (See image). Dirty linens. 4. Complimentary normal water given in Dirty Jug (See image) 5. Damaged & cheap furnitures in room (See image) 6. Big, but basic washroom - stained comod & wall. No hot water. 7. Restaurant foods are below average & cold. 8. Large open space - ill maintained. 9. Wi-fi very slow & fluctuate. 10. During my check out, their sole card swipe machine not worked, so I need to pay all my available cash. 11. Hotel staffs are not professional, but are EXTREME POLITE - despite most traveller harsh on them due to above reasons, they keep mum. Since I planed my vacation with little cosy, so booked Naman Bastar considering it premium, but realized I was wrong.

Naman Bastar is an excellent property in Jagdalpur. The rooms are good, the food is excellent and the resort just gives an excellent thought. Huge garden where kids can play, nice dining hall where you can have your food. In roon service is also excellent. Thanks Naman Bastar for the hospitality.

The property location is excellent, just beyond the city limit with a touch of nature. In addition it has a very good garden ideal to relax. However, the maintenance appears to be not taken care of; The furniture/fixtures has outlived. Rooms are OK, service is acceptable, food is good. Be careful about Check-In & Check out timing.

I stayed here in 2007 and found it was very good property. However it has since been deteriorated. We visited the place but decided not to stay here. Rooms have become old. Furniture outdated. Got feedback that service is very poor. Only plus point is it is located outside city and it's outdoor garden is good to idle in the evening.

I wished to stay at Bastar with my family for a couple of days and intended to stay on a Resort kind of place so as to provide some peace serenity and relaxation Since Naman Bastar fit into our requirement based on details mentioned on its web-page we booked it on phone and the mail confirmation was given to us for a Gold Room for Two Nights (17-19 Mar18) Our Experience at Naman Bastar: Pro : 1. The Surroundings as well as the area is really good. It has large trees and nicely landscaped area. 2. Because of greenery and fruit bearing trees one can hear bird chirpings in the morning time. 3. The staff especially in restaurant is very well behaved, courteous and helpful. 4. Food Quality is good. Cons: 1. The property is very old and in urgent need of refurbishing / repair. 2. Rooms are quite shabby and unkept. 3. The electric boards are loose. 4. The bedsheets are soiled and reused it appears it is not changed after each checkout. 5. The toilets is stained and quite bad. 6. No hot water even after opening the tap for 10-15 minutes. It was guilt feeling wasting gallons of water in the hope of getting hot water. 7. The room and its sit-outs are full of mosquitos/insects. One All-Out in the room is woefully inadequate. Infect the menace cannot be controlled without the special treatment in the room on regular basis. 8. The TV needed to be recharged it took 4-5 reminders to recharge. 9. The Variety in the Dining Room is very less. The negatives forced us to checkout in a day itself, although we had a plan to stay for 2 nights/ 3 days. Undoubtedly, the Resort is well planned from every aspect but it is being neglected by the management resulting in basic amenities getting effected.
