We recently stayed here for two nights while visiting Jaipur. Himanshu was a great host and a great wildlife photographer to boot, as the photos on the room walls attested. Breakfast was delicious; best pilau I've ever had! Himanshu was also highly knowledgeable about Indian trains and really helped us out there. We'd definitely stay here again; good location with great restaurants nearby too.

We arrived late on a Sunday night about 10.30pm to be greeted by our lovely hostess Deepti and from the beginning we felt very much at home. The accommodation, the beds, bathroom etc was perfect. I had exchanged emails with Himanshu our host and over a hearty breakfast went over our stay in Jaipur which he had positive suggestions for and had arranged transportation. All went well and we had a great experience. Himanshu had also booked our train tickets to Agra and arranged transport there plus a guide. Things didnt go according to plan mainly because the driver didnt speak English but as promised Himanshu was always available to sort out any problems. Absolutely first class and I would highly recommend anyone to stay here whilst in Jaipur.

I recommend everyone include this great place on their visit to Jaipur. The hospitality was of the highest standard, we would love to come back and stay next time. The family welocme into their day to day lives and you will learn a lot about India , its culture and about wildlife safaris. Himanshu is a brilliant wildlife photographer whose work needs to be seen.

We were 2 couples, all around retirement age, and were very, very happy with this homestay. Highly recommended on all fronts. The hosts, Himanshu and his wife Deepti were tremendous hosts and could not be more helpful with every aspect of our stay inc arranging money exchange at better than bank rates, advice on where to shop, Uber Taxis, where to eat, organising Varsha a tour guide for us, and last but not least providing us with 2 amazing, tasty home cooked evening meals. Himanshu is passionate about his food and cooking as well as being a safari guide, published wildlife photographer (15-20 large framed photos on the walls of big cats and exotic birds) and competition skeet (clays) shooter. He knows many famous people and was very appropriately involved with us in conversation. He encouraged us to watch the home cooking which was really enjoyable and entertaining, -and has a great sense of humour! Both Deepti and Himanshu speak perfect English. The location of the homestay is about 1.5km from the railway station. My U.K. Uber account worked perfectly and travel all across the city never exceeded 1 in modern air conditioned taxis. (Himanshu also organised Uber for a couple of guests on his Uber account and in India he was able to press cash meaning the clients paid in cash at the end of the journey (I dont think we can do that in UK but I may be wrong on this count)). Just a final note, and not about this homestay, but India in general, be beware of being taken to any shops, stores or factories by a guide (with few exceptions), taxi or tuk-tuk drivers as they get up to 30, even 40% commission. We used Uber to take us to adjoining shops etc and then walked to our destination shop. Look online at reviews etc and as an example, we actually bought a rug from Jaipur Rugs which had 10 times more 5* reviews than its nearest competitor and we were dealt with at this factory in such a relaxed and non pressured environment. They dont give commissions it transpired anyway, and they have a fantastic Foundation using many outlying villages and evidence of this being true was all around at the premises. Anyway, back to Pratap Bhajan. Just book it without further ado!!!!
