An amazing stay at Alila Fort. We stayed back in December 2019 and so this review is long overdue. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like royalty. We were met by Manpreet, a great guy who told us all about our stay and what amenities were on offer. We were then shown to our room by Aishwarya who was really helpful. We managed to get an upgrade for a discounted rate. We were only staying over one night but it was a truly faultless stay. The staff were very friendly and we had some great conversations with them. We had dinner at the Nazaara restaurant which was outstanding, the food, the service and the ambience - with live entertainment. Although we only stayed one night it was truly an unforgettable stay - would also like to thank Gurpreet and Jaitinder who were always on hand and a great help.
Excellent R & R Destination! Highly Recommend.

The property is located between Delhi--Jaipur which makes it an excellent choice for a weekend getaway from Jaipur/ Delhi NCR or a pit stop for tourists who plan to cover Rajasthan by road from Delhi. There is so much to do that you can easily make a 3-4 day trip but I recommend staying here for not less than 3 nights if you want to do some activities along with R&R. for those of you who only want to rest and relax then 2 nights should be fine. The sunset here is breathtaking and you can enjoy it from various spots. But definitely do one evening ar the restaurant and another evening at the pool area during sunset. When we reached there, we were incredibly tired (we had attended a 3-day long wedding) and were looking for some quality R&R. And we got lots of it during our stay. The staff is super kind, very attentive and so warm. They made sure we have the best time. We managed to get one spa session and the experience was fantastic. We totally needed that. The property is super unique as they restored an ancient fort. I have heard that Alilas are known for their uniqueness but this was my first time experiencing one. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets with delicious drinks on the terrace restaurant, Nazarra, which overlooks the entire village. The view here is breathtaking. They have folk performances in the evening here. Also, when it gets too cold they can also provide you with blankets. They have another restaurant, Amarsar, where breakfast is served. I like the fact that they do huge buffets only when there are big groups staying. They have an excellent Alacart menu. This helps reducing food being wasted. Talking about waste, they are also environmentally friendly. They have an in-house waste recycling program. They also contribute to a local school. I think some kind of skill development program (we saw paper bags made by the students). Take out time and explore the property. The rocks jutting out of walls, finding your way also challenging. You might get lost as its a little confusing too. It's part of the whole experience and oh, so much fun. They have a coffee/ high tea area with a low ceiling and royal seating. Do spend some time here. We were given an upgrade to a room with a huge bathroom. I absolutely loved the small touches in the room. Like they have a wall fan in the loo area, ALl the seating areas are well thought of and comfortable. The interior design in the room is super practical and beautiful at the same time. They have carts running from the Fort to the reception area. You can tell them 5 mins in advance and the cart will be there for you. The pool area is good. We stayed a whole day at one of the beds eating and drinking. They also have activities like mountain hiking, Village tour, mandir tour etc. Sadly we couldn't do anything due to lack of time. A great property, with amazing staff and sustainability in its DNA. What's not to like! Next time you want a getaway from Delhi. This should be on top of your list. PS - Its an excellent photography spot. Every inch of this hotel is photo-worthy. If you are fond of clicking photos do take your flowy gowns.
Unique Rural Fort close to Delhi

Enjoyed a wonderful weekend at a Warrior fort hotel in a rural setting just a 3 hour drive from gurugram. Wonderful and knowledgeable staff, fantastic food amidst nice settings and a different "Warrior" fort newly modernized.
Great experience for a weekend destination!

We went to Alila for a family holiday for 2 nights. Upon arrival, the team at Alila greeted us at the lobby with some lovely fresh lemon water in a small kulhad. The ambience of the receiving area is beautiful. Under a canopy with green all around, the sight of the fort looks breath taking from the receiving area. A perfect spot for a cup of morning/ evening tea. We were escorted personally to our rooms by the hotel staff. The rooms are large and spacious, one can almost get lost in the rooms. The room service was exceptional, with not even a speck of dust anywhere to be spotted. The common area next to the pool side (the pool restaurant) is beautiful as well. The landscape and architecture is beyond gorgeous. The indoor restaurant which is usually used for breakfasts, is very cozy however we felt it had very low ceiling height which could probably be because its a fort. The open air balcony for meals is a spectacular spot. We had dinner there, and the entire team had decorated the space with candles. A lavish meal with exceptional service. The service is extremely personalised and one feels well taken care of. My grand mother was with us as well during the stay and the team went beyond their duties to ensure she was taken care of and her dietary requirements were met. The gym is small but has all the basic amenities which are needed. All in all, we had a great time at Alila and hope to visit again. Would recommend Alila for a perfect holiday staycation.
Unususal place - worth a visit

We only spent one night here and due to bad weather and a need to leave for the airport did not really appreciate it fully. All the staff were extremely helpful throughout the stay and particularly when we found our flight home was cancelled and we needed to find another. The room was beautiful with a lovely view both of the surrounding countryside and the local village. However, due to centrally controlled AC it was cold and they ended up having to give us a heater. There is what looks like a good Indian restaurant on the roof with lovely views but as the weather was cold and we don't eat Indian food we were unable to use it. The pool area on a good day would be good but be warned it is cold. Access is via a jeep or similar as it is at the bottom of the hill - there was no problem getting transport. The indoor restuarant we were told offered a range of food from Mediterranean to chinese, however when we got there it was mainly Indian with only three western dishes. The chef and staff proved very helpful, adpating the starter and the two western dishes we had were well prepared. We opted not to have a dessert but the complimentary chocolate mousse was delicious. A meal that looked as though it would not suit initially turned out very well. We followed it with drinks in the bar which was empty but more reasonably priced than many we met in India and the complimnentary cheese was very welcome. Breakfast is served and was good. Well worth a visit - you see something more of Indian life than the big cities.
All rooms seem to have views.

Each room is slightly different, being a heritage fort. Rooms on higher floors have more wind coming if you open the windows.
