The worst experience I've had in 10 years in India. QUALITY/PRICE not in adequation : More than 5000 INR for a salty spinach soup, a dal fry like a soup, raw mixed vegetables, etc.for new year's dinner..... No hot water in the shower even after 15 mn waiting. Bedroom with ventilation grid overlooking the kitchen and nosy....

This place is just 4hrs drive from Delhi. Very close to highway this Haveli is next to Fort. It is a 350 years old haveli brought back to life with original touch and some old art pieces. It has only 5 rooms so forget about the noises and hustle and bustle of any metro city. Welcome with flowers and tikka followed by fresh fruit juice in traditional way was there while our inquisitive eyes were looking at very well kept each and every piece of art, painted walls, stories painted on window panes. Well dressed in traditional attires the most courteous staff was eager to serve us. When we entered the room we were surprised by the quality of decor, amenities and cleanliness. Already started feeling like Royals. Before every meal we were asked about our preferences and with some chef's specials overall experience was outstanding. First night the dinner was laid at front lawns with bon fire and second night we opted for inner area. In this chilling cold every area had hot AC so that we enjoy each and every moment of this Royal experience. Afternoon we lazed around in sun while my daughter and husband opted for kite flying. Amazing staff won our heart with their courtesy and efficiency as if each one of them were in a race to win our hearts. Would love to be there again with more of my near and dear ones.

Part of our fabulous Golden Triangle trip organised by Mr Karni of Swastik India Journeys which has looked after us superbly throughout our month in India. Providing very knowledgeable tour guides and most importantly our driver Ratan expertly taking care of our daily needs and ensuring our journeys were safe and comfortable. What a great place and what a find as it is buried in the back streets of Shahpura, a little palace ( in looks and quality) that provided an experience with first class service. We were welcomed by our host Ratwan who made our stay so memorable and ensured we wanted for nothing. We were made to feel most welcome and given the status of the Maharaja and Maharanee with provision of turban and clothes. We had a room fit for Maraharja that was eloquently decorated with lovely facilities and opening out into a large lounge. In fact the hotel only had five rooms in total and a lovely garden and roof top views of the nearby castle. We were treated to a very cosy candlelight 5 course dinner on the terrace where we had superb service and excellent food whilst catching beautiful views of the night sky and castle. We were also kept warm by a hot coal fire especially provided for us. It worth mentioning the food and drinks were at very reasonable prices. After our good breakfast, again with attentive service, were then treated to a camel trip. In essence this was 2 hour trip on the back of a comfortable cart accompanied by the camel driver, however it was excellent as we saw the local community who seemed to love and happy to wave and want pictures with us. We were met by our Hotel host Ratwan who took us in to a local farm house where we savoured local life which was just a great experience (including treating my wife to henna) and then we went to see the local speciality of bangles being made in a traditional way. We were invited by Ratwan to his house where we met his lovely family and treated to local drinks and snacks and be entertained by his children. Overall the hotel and staff were excellent making us feel very special and I recommend your get you tour agent to book you in for a great experience and not just another holiday accommodation. We loved the everything and would eagerly stay again.

Stayed there for two days in November post Diwali . I must say it is a highly overrated place .It is in the middle of a bustling town market and nothing extraordinary is there about the haveli. The hospitality is very average and the staff largely focuses on catering the international guests. You can find much better places to stay at the same prices. It is not a family place with no amenities like a pool or a kids area . Buffet meals are not there so you practically have the same fixed menu everyday .Even the sweetdish is the same everyday which is no closer to a pudding what they call it as. However, Rooms are clean and large

Staying at this Heritage Haveli was one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever had. My husband and I shared the suite: one of only 5 rooms available at the Haveli that has been restored to its original splendor. The amenities in the room are top notch as are the skills of the staff. Our breakfasts and dinners were wonderful and we loved being waited upon like royalty.
