What a Gem!
by sandhum on December 1, 2016
Tucked away in a quaint village in Jaipur, you come to Tree of Life, a little gem of a resort! An all villa resort! With just 13 villas! Peaceful, tranquil and just the place to run away from it all! Had a fabulous time in a tastefully designed villa, perched at the top of a hill, overlooking lush greenery! Service staff were ever so attentive and professional. Try the yoga class or step into the spa (or a massage in villa), and enjoy personalised menus for your stay, The Chef is on hand to talk you through the menu or even whip up one of your favourite dishes...a Must Return destination and Resort! Thanks for a lovely stay!
The most amazing place on earth
by Louise c on November 25, 2016
The title of my review says it all. This restore is in the foothills of jaipur with the most beautiful vistas. Each individual villa is immaculate and of the highest design standard. Our villa had its own private garden, pool and outside jacuzzi. Inside the villa is extremely spacious, clean and luxurious and even has its own on call butler. The food is all grown locally on site and is organic. On our first night the chef designed a bespoke menu for my partner and I which was a delicious feast. I had a yoga and meditation session organised for me which was wonderfully relaxing. All the staff are very friendly and ultimate professionals. We will be returning to The Tree of Life soon as it was such an amazing experience
Beautiful place, disappointing service
by Joshuabr on November 9, 2016
We stayed here for 4 nights recently having booked through Mr and Mrs Smith. This was a treat, this is a relatively expensive hotel for the area and advertises itself as luxurious. It was by far the most expensive hotel of our trip to India and the place we had looked forward to the most. Sadly we felt let down. As we expected the villas and setting are beautiful. The rooms are clean, the food is great. The view from the pool is second to none. We were very disappointed with the service. We had come from a very simple Holiday Inn a few nights previously where I am sorry to say the service was incredible in comparison. The staff at Tree of Life seemed far too few and largely untrained. They seemed to work long hours. The in-hotel guidebook advises guests to spend time with a member of staff from 'villa services' to plan their stay soon after arrivel - wow we thought. This member of staff it turns out is the receptionist and seems insufficiently trained to deal with all but the simplest of queries. On arrival the complex menu and dining options were not explained to us and we were not shown around the resort - we learnt a lot about how this all worked from iEscape! We were left without a call back when we called 'villa services' to report no running water in our villa. We waited 20 minutes for towels by the swimming pool, only for one to be brought to us when we had asked 'villa services' for two. We were left to gaze at other guests' empty drink bottles and dirty towels by the pool for an entire afternoon despite asking for them to be cleared. The beautiful pagoda is much less beautiful when littered with Corona bottles. In two days of lounging at the pool we did not see a single member of staff to offer us drinks. We were ushered into the restaurant two mornings running despite our requests to take breakfast outside as some of the other guests were. We were told the tables were 'reserved', when we tried to reserve for the following day it seemed this was not possible and we felt like second class guests.. We were served meat dishes which we did not see on any menu despite having ordered a vegetarian meal. Our last meal in the restaurant was ruined by the noise of another guest and a staff member arguing for a prolonged period, we presumed about a bill. Despite this being advertised as a spa hotel we were told it was not possible to use the jacuzzi/sauna/steam room without booking a spa treatment at extra cost, even the pods for the coffee machine came at extra cost. This sort of thing is expected at a cheap hotel- not a hotel of this standard. Come checkout we were billed the full room cost despite having paid this in full via Mr and Mrs Smith prior to our stay. This was eventually resolved after a lot of debate and discussion, something we really didn't need at ten at night. All of the above seemingly minor annoyances would be absolutely fine, if only this hotel did not portray itself as something it is not. The hotel claims to 'anticipate guests needs' before the guest has realised the need themselves and to offer 'personalised luxury' service. In truth the service is very basic, though usually warm hearted. If this was how the service was advertised both within and outside the hotel we would have had a very enjoyable stay as our expectations would have been adjusted accordingly. Instead, we found ourselves feeling pity for the staff who were expected to deliver more than they seemed trained or sufficient in numbers to do and anger at a constant feeling of being disappointed and 'ripped off'. None of these emotions were relaxing and we wondered whether the management had overspent on the hotel buildings to be left without funds to properly train the staff - the most important part of a 'luxury' hotel. If you go here expecting basic service in a beautiful setting I don't think you will be disappointed. Just don't believe the hotel's own hype.
Experience of a lifetime!

I along with my wife booked for 2 nights in march 2016.You are looked after very well. The villas are beautifully designed, with living room, bed room and a huge bathroom. To add to it there is a garden with sunken spa tub,spa beds(if you want a massage in your villa itself) and open shower. You are looked after by a private butler throughout your stay. Food tasted very good and fresh. If you are looking for something special dont miss the candlelight dinner, which is very well planned by the management in your private villa. So its a perfect place to unwind, relax and make memories for a lifetime. Only thing i think they need to improve is more sign boards from highway to the resort and more DVDs in their movie collection.

Spent a couple of days there to catch our breath whilst on a two week tour of India. Villas are large and beautiful with private gardens and well equipped. We went with friends and had the fabulous infinity pool to ourselves, however for us it was the food that was the biggest delight, food freshly cooked to order and served by the most pleasant of staff. We will return.
