Which was very spacious and beautiful decorated.there is a high attentions to details in this resort..the personal was adorable and very useful, special mention to the staff who showed us the resort on our arrival.my kids love to be there all the day playing with dogs and horse..it was extremely clean.. Everyday tea and cake served from 4to 5 pm in our room. On the last day we could stay and enjoy the resort facilities until 5pm and take a shower..thank you very much for your warm welcome ... When we arrived from Jaisalmer at the resort first we were very warm welcomed by the hosts at the resort. The luxurious tents were amazing with ac and the most comfortable beds I slept on in India. After a refreshment we were asked to take a seat in one of the 4WD jeeps to see the sunset at the sand dunes. The trip to get there was great. Seeing part of the desert life and the (very poor) villages around the area. Half way we stopped and there were several camels waiting for us to take us for a short camel safari to the top of the sand dunes. It was lot of fun and magnificent to take photographs. In the dark we drove back to the resort where we got the time to change and refresh ourselves and we got a show of dancers in local traditional clothes and a puppet show. All in the middle of the camp with very romantic scenery. During the performance delicious local food was served. The night was so quiet, full of stars and a nice temperature. So different from the city life. The next morning we had typical Indian breakfast but there was also a possibility to have just some American/European breakfast as well. Which I really enjoyed after 4 weeks traveling in India.

I chose this camp based on the few reviews I found online. It was pleasant surprise when we reached there. The site is not too close to the main road but it's not difficult to find. Their tents are spacious and clean and as luxurious as five star room. Food was homely and delicious. Staff is caring and helpful. Horse ride, sunset in dunes, camel ride and late night star gazing in desert.... All of It made wonderful memories for lifetime. I am definitely going again.

We booked this camp based on reviews of tripadvisor... Its a secluded camp in Sam sand dunes . They have their private sand dune where theres no disturbance from the usual crowds flocking the famous Sam sand dunes . We saw the sunset in peace from there... their jeep takes you to the sand dunes . The food here is amazing There was a folk dance at night There are very few tents which makes this place peaceful Theres a round seating arrangement for dinner in the open with dance in the centre... Prithvi Bhai the manager also arranged for beds outside in the open to sleep...we were woken up by a peacock sitting right next to us... This camp is the only place you should stay at Jaisalmer

Damodara camp is an awesome place in the desert to stay. The tents are spacious and very comfortable and you don't miss anything from a luxurious room in a hotel. The circle round the camp fire with sofa cushions, music, drinks and food was marvellous. The managers there are very sensitive with animals (amongst others they care to feed peacocks at sunrise) and with the litter left behind at the desert. They promised to go with their personnel to clean the dunes from left plastic bottles. Congratulations!
