I'll rate The Damodra Desert camp 6 stars out of 5! Prithvi and his team are extremely hospitable. The camp has been done up extremely well, without letting go of the camp feeling. The camps are comfortable with all amenities. The entire schedule is so well thought out from the moment one checks in. The evening starts with a jeep ride to a nearby village. The camels take you to the dunes from here. Sandboarding on the dunes, freshly made chai and the viewing the sunset will be unforgettable. Then later in the evening the cultural tour starts with songs, dance and a puppet show. These guys are extremely talented. The pakoras, tea and stars above add to setting. The dinner has a homely feel to it and tastes good. We also went stargazing and stayed awake till midnight - catching a glimpse of almost 10 shooting stars. We had a comfortable sleep though it becomes a little cold in the night. The sunrise and peacocks in the morning feel good. Would love to stay here again and recommend this place to all!

Thanks for making my trip so memorable. The owner of the property lives there and has given so much attention to details. staff is very friendly and warm. I was staying with my son. That night only few rooms were booked. Yet no compromise was done on the services. They have exclusive sand dunes. The driver Bikul signh was very helpful in taking us for Quad biking which was a last minute plan. Because of Damodara reference we got special offers and treatment at the Quad biking. They accommodated my request when we spent extra time on the dunes. The food is very very good. Specially prepared for your request. The cultural performances is the best I experienced in all of Jaisalmer. Everything is so perfectly handpicked. There are aroma therapy shampoo, hand-wash etc. They have build a special place for star gazing and we can sleep there too. We were up till 5am. There are peacocks everywhere and they come so close to the room. Good job guys. Keep up the good work. Blessings!!!

My wife booked this place and we cannot stop praising the location, people and infrastructure at Damodara. We flew in from Canada and did a Rajasthan tour. At Jaisalmer there were several interesting hotels to stay but the experience staying in Damodara was something we want everyone to experience. Firstly, the location is really in the dessert (we were all looking for the same and not to be location on the main road), the tents and bathrooms very clean. Best of all are the resort staff as they took care of everything small thing, which is what I call in Canada a real "customer experience". Masala Chai while star gazing or camel ride, the live music in the night sitting outdoor with Rajasthani folk singers, awesome!! Best wishes to the Damodara guys. I have few more friends from Canada going to visit you soon.

Such a beautiful and tranquil place to escape. Highly recommend this dessert camp for friends, families, or even traveling alone. We received the warmest welcome and enjoyed traditional Indian music and dancing in the evening. The food was yummy too! And the sunset/sunrise camel ride is a must.
