The rooms were extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated and we had hot showers everyday. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, laundry was inexpensive and the hotel is off the beaten track so very quiet. The rooftop area has a fantastic view of the fort and the desert and we ate there every night as the food was so good and reasonably priced. If we were to go back to Jaisalmer this is definitely where we would be staying.

All marks to hotel Helsinki House and its owners. Right from the arrival till our departure they took good care of us. Helped us in every possible way. Arranged for early morning breakfast and tea. Water bottles for return journey etc. The rooms are spacious and have basic amenities WiFi available. There is a roof top restaurant too. Had a discussion with owner as to why they kept name Helsinki House. Both brothers were very polite and friendly. Value for money.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is a beautiful traditional building filled with intricate traditional Rajasthani designs. The staff here are incredibly friendly and helpful and ensure that you feel welcome at all times. The rooms themselves are very well designed and decorated, with all the required facilities, which are of good standard. The hotel has a rooftop caffe in which you can have the most amazing food. From here you can see the awe inspiring views of Jaisalmer fort and the surrounding desert. This hotel promises excellent views. The staff are very friendly and are always happy to organise trips or transport. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it to anyone.

The staff in Helsinki House are super friendly and welcoming. The room looked very elegant and stylish, but quickly realised that there was no-where to hang clothes. A real pity to sacrifice form over function in the bedroom, but thankfully not evident at all in the bathroom. The rooftop restaurant/bar did allow quite a bit of noise disturbance until around midnight, after that all quiet. We were leaving before breakfast, but the staff provided coffee and toast in our room around 6.45. Would I go back......OH YES

The secluded location of the hotel (only 2km from the center) not only offers great privacy but also offers fantastic views of Jaisalmer fort and the rugged terrain that the city has to offer. The rooms were clean and had that perfect blend of modern features with a vintage touch. The gorgeous pillars, arches, tiny courtyards (inside the hotels) makes it up for a very warm and cosy stay! The hotel also offers bunks at a reasonable price for people who choose to stay at hostels! The owners/managers Obaya and Maru (as we fondly called them) were the best hosts that we could have. They made us feel very special and at home. They planned a very well guided tour and a well planned trip to Sam Sand Dunes which included a camel ride, desert jeep safari, cultural program and dinner at a reasonable price! The hotels rooftop restaurant offers wide variety of dishes which are made with a lot of love! I would personally keep going back to their hotel and would recommend to all the travels especially solo women travellers as it is very safe!
