The hotel is huge and has a large area in the bhakal - ie centre of the hotel is surrounded by building in all the four directions. There is the swimming pool in the bhakal. A restaurant and a bar is present. The reception is well air-conditioned but the sofa and the interior is not that attractive. The rooms are large and can easily accommodate 3 people. The place is classy maintained but looks like a quaint hotel. The staffs are good.

Our first impression as we drove in was favourable, an impressive building, however from there it went dramatically down hill. Even the welcome drink, a green concoction, was awful. The large open inner courtyard has the potential to be very attractive, but like the rest of the hotel has not had the investment to raise the quality. The swimming pool at first glance looked inviting but the murky, stagnant water with sand strewn all over the bottom soon made one very suspicious on health and safety grounds. The fact there were only 12 sunbeds available for potentially 84 guests was another indication of a lack of investment. Worse was to come with our room. As soon as we walked in, the standard of fixtures, fittings, and furnishings was depressing. The room hadn't been cleaned properly in weeks, if ever. Our bedding was wet! It took three attempts for a harassed young man to find acceptably dry sheets and duvet. The en suite had damaged tiling in a shower that hardly worked, the toilet seat was broken, and everything about it was shabby and badly finished. Worse was to come with the meals. Breakfast was very basic, the coffee undrinkable, the choice very limited and unappetising. Even the waiter could not open the sachets of marmalade to put on the toast. That's how bad it got. There were similar problems with the evening meals, a complete lack of quality. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere so no nearby alternatives without getting transport. The staff tried extremely hard but there were too few of them and they were working in an environment where quality just didn't exist. The tragedy was we were staying for two nights. The hotel undoubtedly has potential, however it needs a massive injection of investment in every respect to bring it up to a standard that is acceptable to today's modern traveler. Our advice at present is avoid it at all cost.

Great Impression when you get inside, It is beautifully made property, Rooms are spacious, need some work towards maintance, The bed on small balcony is really good, Outside Garden is very good & Bar is well maintained, Good view on the Balcony outside Bar, Food option on Dinner & Breakfast are fine.

We had a lovely three nights stay at the desert tulip hotel. Upon arrival the hotel is very impressive. A big sandstone building. The staff were all extremely welcoming and willing to assist with any questions throughout our stay. A big thumbs up to the cleaning staff, who were so friendly and always willing for a chat. Anup Singh, who was one of the cleaners was so friendly, we would put flowers in our room each day, he made a swan out of towels and made our male friend a turban as a parting gift. He was SO lovely! We had the buffet for dinner each night, whilst the food was good, it was probably a bit overpriced (around 760 Rs.) the food probably wasnt up to this standard compared to our other experiences in India. The restaurant staff were all lovely. They were always up for a chat and were very helpful! The hot water was intermittent and would often only get Luke warm when showering. Apart from this it was a great stay. The staff being the highlight of this lovely hotel!

Rating of 4 * is misnomer. This resort is not worth for 2*. I had buffet lunch on 2nd Jan 18 around 2pm and it was cold. Potato subji was half cooked and taste was very bad. We skipped our dinner in this hotel. Morning breakfast was again a horrible experience. We had ordered Omlet but some kind of smell in it, uthapam was half cooked. Now, we talk about staff, not a trained staff at all, when I informed them, they were blank. This resort is only for school picnic or conferences or marriages but certainly not for vacation or luxury stay.
