A good hotel but with a scope of improvement!!!

This is a little gem in Jaisalmer and surely one of the better choices in this price range. in fact it is actually more than value for money.
we were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and they tried everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
Service and food is two main aspect of this hotel and it excels in both the department. the staff is attentive and approachable. the food is delicious but they can do better in terms of breakfast.
Pros:
1. Room size is good enough for 3 pax
2. Bathroom is also big
3. cleanliness of the room, bathroom and in general hotel is very nice.
4. Food in the restaurant is fantastic with enough options to chose from, however they need to work on Starter as well as desserts. very limited options in those two category and taste is also basic.
5. Staff is courteous and attentive.
Cons:
1. NO minibar in rooms, I am not sure about other rooms but my room did not have one
2. No room service menu in the room, again not sure about other rooms
3. their in house bar was closed during the entire stay
4. No Gym in the hotel
5. No suite rooms in the hotel
Suggestions:
a 4 star hotel has to behave like a 4 star, there are some basic traits which are missing here:
1. NO name badge for staff, you need to give it to them so people can acknowledge the staff and mention on these forums
2. No proper travel desk, you need to have one when you are situated in a tourist city and lot of foreigner guests visits you
3. A gym is an absolute must these days and you need to figure out a place in your hotel where you can put up a small but basic an effective gym
4. Food options and presentation needs to improve a little, specially in breakfast buffet.
overall we will definitely visit again.

Food, Room, Service are value for money

Room and bathroom were clean and tidy. Food was tasty and had lot of variety in their buffet option. The stay was made comfortable by the warm and welcoming staff. The property is good for anyone who is looking for mid- range travel with family. It good for group booking.

The hotel doesn't allows alchohol. The lady's grievances is fake n planted. She wanted to drink in common area but the hotel staff objected so she consumed liquor in her room and after getting drunk she created a scene there. She mentioned me GUNDA. i'm wg Cdr SK singh a class 1 gazetted officer. It's me who after dinner went to pay the bills found the lady n her husband creating scene n bullying the manager. I intervened and told no body was consuming liquor. There were students group who were taking cola. The lady was so drunk that she told a military officer a gunda. The best hotel in affordable rates is SAIRA FORT Jaisalmer. The lay herself admits that she drank liquor in her room. Imagine her sense after drunk and don't take it seriously. Jai Hind

Family Holiday with Kids

One of the finest hospitality I received in this property, I was particularly very impressed by the chief ( outstanding) and the restaurant manager who was personally looking after everything and ensuring things are on place, restaurant staff is very helpful and friendly specially Mr. Changan. :)
My advise to the hotel is to upgrade their rooms with better amenities', all the hardwork of your team will go in vain if you don't do these changes.

Good property Really well maintained ... The best park is the staff is really friendly ... The cheif in Restaurant was so Good he specially cooked Some Rajasthani Gravy for us ... I dnt mind Giving 4.5 / 5
don't forget to carry your swimming costume
Take room having zarookha view. All rooms are nice by the way.
Avoid room in front of the Garden until construction work is going on.
