We had a wonderful trip to Jaisalmer. Hotel Rawalkot was very welcoming with their warm hospitality. The rooms are excellent, we had a view of Jaisalmer Fort from our balcony which was turned out to be icing on the cake. The food was delicious and sumptuous. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and look forward to come back.

We visited this hotel as part of a 2 week tour of Rajasthan. This could be a reasonable modest sized hotel if the management understood the first thing about international standards of customer service. We experienced what should have been a minor issue with the price of a bottle of wine in the restaurant. I thought it was a little cheap on the wine list so checked with the waiter when ordering. I again confirmed the price with the waiter when he brought the bottle to the table. When we got the bill the cost was double. After a few minutes a guy with the over inflated title of Vice President appeared and proceeded to spend half an hour arguing that we were in the wrong (2 other couples in the restaurant had the same issue that evening). In any other hotel or restaurant Ive used, and there have been many in over 40 different countries, he would have simply apologised for the mistake and honoured the price quoted. We eventually agreed to meet half way as I had frankly had enough of arguing and dealing with his attitude when we were trying to have a pleasant evening. I tried to talk to him about it the following day when I had more time but his attitude remained appalling. He said bluntly that he wasnt interested in what I had to say and had better things to do with his time than talk to me. I really dont know how this jumped up; self important man ever got a job in a customer service business. Our tour guide, who witnessed the second exchange, was so appalled he offered to pay for the wine out of his own pocket but it was well past being about the money at that point. I have to say that this experience was not at all typical during our 2 week tour of India. I found staff in other hotels and the people of Rajasthan in general to be extremely friendly, helpful and hospitable.

We loved the stay. The rooms are beautiful. The ambiance is aesthetic. The staff were exceptionally courteous. The food, stay, the view of the fort were a package in itself. Will definitely suggest to anyone planning for jaisalmer trip

I along with my family of 4 members had booked 2 rooms in Rawalkot, Jaisalmer. We stayed from 3rd November to 6th November. It was an excellent stay, the property is located off highway and easily accessible from Jaisalmer railway station. The hotel has great rooms and ambience is excellent. The restaurant provides round the clock service. The hotel had complementary breakfast, which was excellent. The property has games to entertain the guests. Swimming pool and great view of Jaisalmer fort. Overall I would rate 5/5, and would strongly recommend it for travellers visiting Jaisalmer.
