Deserted, unmanned, unattended, shabby, far away from the city, run down and completely neglected. Must be completely avoided at all costs even if offered free. We went there with a booking but after looking at the place did not check in and ran.

We were booked for a weeks stay in this resort starting 7th March, 2015 and had given sufficient prior intimation of our arrival. On checking-in, we found the allotted unit number 102 was full of dust and dirt. It had not been swept, dusted or cleaned for a long time. First day of stay was lost in getting it cleaned with my participation also. We then learnt that we were the sole guest staying in the whole resort. In the second night from mid night to early morning there was no electricity or generator backup. The night was spent in a totally dark resort. So after two days, we were compelled to check out. To add insult to injury, we were forced to pay utility charges for the whole week. What could be worse?

We stayed on the night of 30th Dec 2014. The property is inside an upscale gated community. It is very posh looking and well-maintained. We were given an upgrade to a suite, which was nice. Then hotel staff were courteous. The wi-fi in the room was weak. Drawbacks: 1. food was not tasty 2. they do not have a proper drivers' accommodation facility. Give that the hotel is 14 km away from the city, they must have this facility.

The most important point - this place is located about 15 kms away from the main city. We had our own car and knew this prior to booking the place, so this wasn't and issue for us. But if your without your own mode of transport - this is a major negative. The advantage of staying here is that it falls directly on the Jodhpur-Udaipur highway. So if Udaipur is your next stop, the negative might just work in your favour. The hotel was formerly owned by the reputed Fern Group of hotels, and as a consequence is well maintained. The rooms are located in villas with each villa consisting of two rooms - a suite and a regular. We were a family of 5 and we had booked one suite and one regular so we got an entire villa to ourselves. The rooms are not connected though - so it doesn't really matter. The suite is massive, and has access to a small private terrace atop the villa also. There is a bedroom, a massive hall and a kitchen with a microwave, fridge etc. The bathrooms were clean and the rooms maintained a decent overall level of hygiene. The restaurant and the reception are located in an adjoining cluster to the villas. Food is excellent but can take up to 45 minutes to prepare. Breakfast is served in the lawns outside the restaurant with seating options provided inside and outside as well. There is also a club house with indoor games and a pool although I didn't visit so cannot comment on how good it is. The staff was average - nothing extra to talk about here. There is ample space for parking provided, and the entire complex is gated. Since it is located on a highway, there might not be too many eating options in the surrounding area - but with a vehicle that should not be a problem. We stayed here only for a night, but perhaps one more day would have been necessary.
