This Haveli is a treasure in the desert. I've visited a few times and am stunned again by its charmed and atmosphere. Each room is designed individually, in the royal style of the Maharadshas from back in the day. Antique furniture, paintings of Moghuls and Hindu gods, carvings, each corner is just a bit different and surprising. There's also a swimming pool and it's in a separated corner where people can relax and keep their privacy, so no curious looks from more conservative guests who wouldn't wear a swim suite themselves. The beds are really comfortable, too. Baths are nicely designed. Food is delicious. Service excellent, the staff makes sure your wish is their command. I came by plane and ordered their pick up service online on the website. They also have yoga retreats there, music workshops and cooking classes.

This hotel is 45 minutes away from the centre of the city, so away from the hustle and bustle, from the crowds and the noise. Nicely converted fort into a clean, comfortable and serene hotel. They had organised a very nice New Years party out in their open courtyard.

This is a must to stay in a journey to Rajasthan. It is slightly off the beaten track near Jodhpur. But you will be staying in a genuine fort and feel like you are in a movie. Service is excellent. The staff are happy and very accommodating. The amenities are a bit basic, but never the less clean and all in good order. We loved our stay here and made a big change from large corporate hotel chains.

This is a great selection for those seeking unique accomodation outside the city. Elegant, quirky and beautiful is the only way to describe Fort Chanwa. The site is beautiful (once you find it) and the support team are attentive and very helpful. The rooms are like a splash from 1970 smashed into an elegant old fort...we had room 9 which was a large double with a huge bathroom and multiple widows opening to the front gardens. Food was ok, and a tip is you can order from the menu vs the buffet. Overall great two nights in a beautiful heritage setting just far enough from the noise of the city.
