I went to RAAS with my wife and our 6 year daughter. We had planned for a 3 night stay. Here are some of the things that stood out Check in We were welcomed by warm smiles all across the hotel and check in was swift and smooth. Bulbul from front office helped us and showed us the entire property before taking us to the room. She was also there for anything we needed during our stay. We were also upgraded and that was a very welcome surprise Rooms (stayed in 303) Modern, clean and spacious. Beds were comfy, room was well lit, bathroom fixtures and amenities very good. Our room had a view of Mehrangarh Fort and that was a highlight. You dont need to go anywhere to enjoy the view. Sit in your balcony and enjoy. Our floor in charge would be always around. One day he saw us coming back from outside and arranged a basket of fresh fruits on his own knowing we would be tired and hungry. Much appreciated. Food This was also very good and above expectations. Breakfast was very good with a cold spread and hot a la carte. Options were extensive, service swift and staff welcoming. Staff made us feel at home and kept feeding us till we had enough. They were friendly and would talk to us about our plans in Jodhpur and added their suggestions . Mahendra (I hope I guess the name right) took great care We also ordered in room and even that was very good too. Facilities We used the pool and that was great. Water was nice and cozy and pool side service prompt. Pool also overlooks the fort and hence great to be there in evening. Infact pool is functional 24 hours so you can use as per convenience Location Its located in the walled city which is the old city. Old houses, small by lanes and markets surround it. Its rare to get a great hotel in this sort of location. So worth it . Its an old haveli (big bungalow) converted to a hotel. So you get a bit of history along. Noise Read a lot about noise from mosque as a disturbance . Frankly it didnt bother us at all and on majority of times we didnt even notice it was there. Our room was close to the mosque but still it was fine. No disturbance Whats around Go to the step well square (adjoining). It has good shopping and eating options. Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant thada and Rao Jodha park are all just a 10 min tuk tuk ride away Came back very happy and relaxed. It you are considering it - go for it. You wont be disappointed

An oasis of calm and relaxation in the hub bub of Jodhpur, Raas Jodhpur, a boutique hotel houses a spa, an outdoor pool, and 2 dining options, including a restaurant overlooking the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort. Absolutely worth it, even for a meal! A must visit in Jodhpur.

My wife and I wanted to have a short vacation and had been thinking of various destinations. Finally we decided on Jodhpur and made our flight arrangements from Delhi. We booked our stay at the RAAS Jodhpur as that seemed to be a good option and would enable the views of the Mehrangarh Fort. The airport at Jodhpur is very small but looks beautiful. The old style of airport you would see in the movies of the 50 or 60. We had booked our airport pickup from the hotel. The road to the hotel initially was ok, but once you get to the older part of the city it was so dirty that I have to say that I have not seen anything like this before. Once you get to the hotel things change and the Hotel staff give you a warm welcome and show you around and to your room. The property is converted to a hotel from a previous Haveli and is well done. The one thing that was very noticeable was the announcements from the nearby mosque. The announcements at 9:00 pm lasted 2 hours and used good quality speakers and could be clearly heard in the rooms. The food is just OK and the open air Resturant does get a lot of insects. The rooms also had mosquitos so be prepared. Would suggest the hotel to have better soundproofing like the ones the hotels near the airports have. The city administration needs to look into the cleaning as I was shocked to see the city in the condition it was. With all the foreign tourist arriving here, it would be better to have a clean city and present a better image of our country.
