We had a bad experience at this guest house... it is the first time the Lonely Planet has mislead us in such a way (I was travelling with a 2008 edition, and I hope it does not feature in the more recent versions). The room was overpriced and none of the basic amenities worked. Electricity was on and off constantly and none of the plugs worked, the wifi did not work, the taps could hardly open and close properly, there was no bucket and mug supplied in the bathroom, no lock on the door, and the flush did not work either (seeing the other comments, I reckon it has never worked). And it was not very clean overall. There was no light on the roof terrace so no dinner facility there and when we asked for tea, we were told it would take very long (basically the ladies in charge, despite being very smily, do not seem too bothered about having guests). Lastly, there is a very large area on the first floor (where our room was) where you cannot walk as they have installed a cheap floor/ceiling to let the light in on the ground floor where they live. It made walking there very awkward. The place is very different from how they present it on their website. Clearly this guesthouse has had better days. For 900 rupees a night, it was overpriced. We had planned to stay 3 nights but stayed only for 1 night. We then found another place with much better facilities including a good bathroom with working flush and hot water, for a much better price.

i just stayed in that guesthouse for a few days but it was one of my favourite places ive been. the family who runs the guesthouse is super lovely and helpful. the food is typical indian and very good. if you want to be in a nice and comfortable environment you are right here! thank you again for a very pleasant stay!

The place is well located and the rooms are nice but cleanliness is very poor. The lady is very helpful and nice but it seems that she is the only employee at the hotel so she is the "one women band", doing everything but her health does not allow her to keep the place in good shape...
Our best experience in Jodhpur

We had many good experiences in Jodhpur, but non did beat meeting the owner of this place. She is such a lovely lady, smiling, laughing, friendly and talkative. Nothing seemed to be a hassle, and with us being the only guests it almost felt like staying with family. And the house is filled with atmosphere, toys and funny details. And being close to the policestation it is always easy to find ones way back by asking the locals.

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. But especially the lady of the house, is what makes this place unique! She was very friendly and gave much useful information. She told us many things about the city and the culture and made us feel like home. The location is very good, in the center of the old town. And the food was lovely as well.
with hot shower, without, balcony etc. just ask.
