What's Good: every bit of it. Food, activities, spa, cottage, nature, grenary, bar, music, tribal dance
What needs to improve : Nothing as such
Reason For Rating : The stay with red earth kabini was just awesome! we enjoyed every bit of stay. Very very hygienic and food was just awesome. Also enjoyed the Jungle safari and tribal dance. It was very peaceful in midst of nature. The environment and ambiance of Spa, restaurant and the bar was amazing. Loved the concepts of naming everywhere as possini (restaurant), Mukti (shop) etc...Yatra gave a very good discount when compared to all the websites and best anniversary trip/gift ever! Thansk Yatra for helping get a good deal that we booked and made it beautiful!

What's Good: Excellent stay for flora fauna and ird enthusiasts. Great setup - well equipped cottages, jacuzzi, pool, courteous and helpful staff and a very generous food spread (all organic) - right outside nagarhole park and off kaveri river- great family stay - definitely worth the visit. highly recommend it

What's Good: Good points : Location, close to nature, excellent food, hospitable staff and a lovely swimming pool. Areas for improvements: 1.The landscape could be aesthetically maintained, most of the plants are wild and are in your face, areas of leisure like hammocks and kid play sections are inaccessible due to ill maintained landscaping. The walkways could also be paved to avoid soiling the cottages. 2.Although the cottages are designed well, the floor mats have somehow been ignored and unfortunately that catches your attention the minute you enter the cottage. 3. With an ambitious pricing to be a part of the top league, the facilities and ambience could well be enhanced to those standards.

What's Good: Place is exhorbitantly costly and there is no Value for money

The place is gorgeous, don't get me wrong. But it's way too overpriced. The food is simple and tasty, nothing out of the world. Though I did have a nice feeling knowing I was eating vegetables and fruits that were grown right there. The coffee/tea in the evening was a disaster. We went with 2 kids who asked for juice. After waiting for half an hour (they couldn't find the keys to the fridge!), they gave us expired tetra-packs and promptly took it back from 2 howling kids. Everything had to be paid additionally- the coracle rides, the bullock cart rides and whatever else was there. When we've paid a small fortune for a night, I kinda expect these things to come along. For those people who are looking to lie by the pool, read a bit, get food on time and basically unwind; this is an expensive, but good option. Kabini itself is gorgeous. Most properties there offer almost the same things, minus the hefty price tag.

Nice serene atmosphere in the lap of nature. comfy private cottages, nature walks, excellent food and courteous staff. pick up and drop facility from Mysore available. Wifi in office only...gives more leisure time in rooms. cycling, swimming etc.

The resort is awesome with many hundreds species of plants. The riverside area is very beautiful. The only problem that I faced was that the food that is served was OK. Besides the small white worms were falling from the roof into the plates. Barring this problem everything else is really good about the resort

Red Earth resort means that cottages they have built by using red color mud, that's what they say but what we saw and experienced was climbers, creepers, shrubs and bushes covered over the cottages along with natural insects, lizard and snakes where you should not mind it if it cross over the legs or accidentally u kill it. Small walklane either side shrubs and bushes dont know what comes out from it suddenly. Pictures what u see in website and travel sites are the photos taken when the resort was built but now its totally hidden in the shrubs and bushes. Room and bathroom are with local amenities, they call it as village style. If u need to go for loo, you have to walk into the wilderness as the toilet or washroom are kept outside the room, imagine going out for loo in the nite, that part of imagination is left to yourself. Jacuzzi please be careful when u use it, dont know what will be hidden in the pipes, as we switched on a lizard came out from it. No view from any of the cottages present there. Relaxation comes only with good scenic view of nature but here the cottages are hidden in the bushes.Dont know why they say it 4 star resort, I say its just a single star only for the loaction, rest of the stars u have to find it out by yourself.Every time they call it as eco resort but i say they have completely drowned into the wilderness and transforming resort into a forest. They dont mind whether you come with family having kid or not, they want to allot there odd cottages where bathrooms are kept outside the rooms and make money out of it. They dont bother whether kids gets scared of it or not.

What an amazing place to stay.. we had tbe best two days in Red Earth! The staff is caring and make an effort to make your stay comfortable. Food is delicious and suits everyone's palate. The jungle safari was added bonus. Actually should you choose to you don't even have to step out st all the place offers enough activities.. do have a chat with the Owner Ms. Rachel if you can and she will tell you interesting stories about the resort... P.s a bicycle ride near the dam is must!!
