Excellent family getaway
by PramodWhizz on
The room we got was spacious, well maintained, had a large balcony with an amazing view of the Kabini river. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The food was delicious. The Manager Dhanya was extremely friendly and welcoming and got along will every individual member of my family and assisted us with everything making our stay a memorable one.
I stayed in Jungle lodge also. But hospitality is better in Waterwoods Lodge, Kabini, Staff are helpful and cordial.

I stayed in Magnolia. I liked the view, the aesthetics, the decoration ,Bathroom , water sport facilities . restaurant, food quality was awesome. I was delighted to have tasty lunch, dinner and breakfast. We could enjoy the documentary about Nagarhole . Jeep facilities was provided till the point to board for jungle trip and waterboat safari. Jeep facilities should be provided to private boarders apart from the borders of Jungle Lodge. Discrimination was noticed while going to jungle tour though that is not the fault of resort people. The price per person for waterboat and land safari is high compare to other places in Karnataka.

Was a welcome getaway in the post pandemic lockdown situation. Things we liked was the all inclusive price. Beds were comfortable. Food was really good served hot and service was very nice. Staff were polite, caring and very hospitable. They stretched the lunch time to accommodate our late check-in. Hand sanitizers were available at the lobby reception and dining area. Decent wifi 2 Mbps and smart tv with internet Am told they have just 15 rooms at the property that gives the place a boutique touch. Things to be cautious about: Had a visit from a centipede within the blankets but it's understandable given it's a forest area. The two mineral water bottles in the room are not complimentary and cost about 150 a bottle as we found out during checkout. Also the boat ride of the kabini reservoir on property is about Rs500 a person with a 28% tax. Also if you have any amex cards, they won't be accepted here. We got rooms 104 King bed and 106 twin beds and they are both situated on the first floor that are accessible only by stairs. While they were fine for us, if you have anyone elderly be sure to inform the resort at the time of confirmation to avoid surprises.
Visit to Kabini post lockdown

We had stayed here on the 6th & 7th of November 2020. It started with a confusion between booking Bison or Waterwoods and eventually we landed up here. But trust me, that was our best decision. They stay has been more than comforting. We stayed in a Superior family room which had a river view. The room was clean and spacious. Their staff is courteous and extremely helpful. They never had "No" as an answer for anything we asked for.. Icing on the cake was the private bonfire that they arranged for us close to the river bed. Their service is over and above a 7 star hotel and I highly recommend this resort to everyone planning for Kabini.. Thank you Waterwoods Resort Team for making our trip memorable and so comforting. Special Mention : Mr. Devaraj.
