Being pure vegetarians we were finding it difficult to find a vegetarian hotel within 2-3 kms radius of our hotel (where we were staying). Finally, we decided to take a walk to the main market area of the Kalimpong town and oh la, we were stunned to see a bill board that said "Pure Vegetarian Restaurant". This restaurant also has an ice cream shop attached to it. The restaurant is located very close to the famous Mangal Dham sanctuary. The food in Anjali was excellent and the service was good too. It is a small restaurant but the quality of the food and service was very refreshing. The young girl who was at the hotel desk managing went out of her to help us. She told us about the finer points of Kalimpong and what important tourist sites that we could visit. We plan to recommend this restaurant to all our vegetarian friends. We were also told by the girl who was managing the restaurant that it also has lodging facilities!! However, we did not need the lodging as we were already lodged in another hotel a little out of town. But we will surely return/recommend this hotel for its pure and quality vegetarian food!!!

I don't know what to say about hotel. I reached their after visit of darjeeling in evening and asked hotel staff to switch on my geyser connection as it's connection was fitted in reception, but to my horror I was told by hotel owner that hotel policy is to take bath once only. Miss anjali (owner of hotel) told me I can't take bath twice a day. So if any body wants to stay in hotel anjali deluxe kindly go through the hotel policy once. The time I visited there that time gorkha movement was in its high situation then I told hotel to cancel my booking but they refused to do so and also they won't have parking facilities.

The experience of staying in Anjali was good. We stayed in one of the double delux room having a balcony. very reasonably priced. the response at the reception is very good. Location is good however a bit far from the main hub of the town. you need to walk at least for 10 minutes to be on the hub. Overall experience was good.

Having a group of 11 means you need to always worry about the kind of room you can get. Hotel Anjali was extremely affordable and comfortable residence that we got at the last minute while scouring through the numerous hotels in Kalimpong. Located in the centre of the hustle of the town, it was excellent when it comes to ease of access and availability of transport options. The rooms very clean and decent and comfortable. However, we did suffer through seepage problem from the bathroom and the staff can be described as barely courteous. There is not much to recommend when it comes to food options and the kitchen facilities. That's the reason why we opted for only breakfast, which incidentally was a overtly long and delayed process.
