What's Good: The room was large
What needs to improve : There was no wi fi.
Reason For Rating : The hotel did not inform about changes of booking. They don't have wifi. No tea kettles etc. However, the room was large with one single and one double bed, there were geyser and toiletries. The behaviour of hostel staff was good. They cook and give food on order, though a bit costly. Their suggestion about local tour helped us.
Real comfort at Komfort Inn

We stayed in this hotel for four nights. Our three rooms were all locate don the first floor, and the view was not really great, as there were several trees blocking the view. But I believe the second floor offers better views. The hotel is run by a Nepali couple who are very helpful and friendly. We had lunch on our arrival ( ordered previously over telephone) and on other days we had tea, breakfast and dinner. The food was simple but delicious and service was very good. The sitting area and dining room on the ground floor are well decorated and very comfortable for a large group to chat over cups of tea, as we enjoyed. The first floor lobby is beautifully decorated with black and white photographs of old Kalimpong as well as some beautiful sketches. There is only one young boy as staff in this hotel, so probably one or two additional staff should be hired for better service when all rooms are full. Overall we had an excellent experience and would recommend all to book this hotel in Kalimpong.

A komfy nest in Kalimpong

An excellent home stay where the owners Mrs. & Mr. Nakul takes care of all your needs and requirements. The food is simple but excellent in taste and the environment around the place is just right for what you expect in Kalimpong. The rooms are cosy with all amenities in place. If you are searching for the quite stay...Komfort Inn is the answer.
Nice location, great view.

While heading to Gangtok from Darjeeling, I decided to spend the night in Kalimpong and decided to stay here as it is a short walk from the main town. The rooms were reasonable priced, clean and comfortable. The toilet could have been cleaner. The view was amazing and I enjoyed my stay here.
Good budget hotel with rooms in the front having a good view
by ShantanuDG on
New small hotel with about 10 rooms. Owner is a nice helpful gentleman but they lack support staff. Only breakfast and dinner are served. Some rooms have a good view but housekeeping needs improvement. Market area is nearby (15 mins on foot). There is a food joint adjacent where Bengali/Chinese foods are served if ordered beforehand. Recommended for 1-2 nights stay.
Second floor corner room is probably the best

Select rooms facing the road.

Ask for a Room with an overhead fan rather than a pedestal fan. Choose a front road facing room. They have a better scenic appeal.

Room No 1 and 2 on 1st floor and 6 and 7 on the 2nd floor. Best are 1 and 6.
