This located on top of Deola hill about 13 KM from city centre. Rooms are well furnished but details are missing. Leakage in the wash room, door stays not working et al. Leisurely dressed young girl managing the reception while a single man operating as bell boy, food server and others. Lunch was ordered while nothing moved for 45 minutes while in the mean time a local VIP was being looked after by serving hot snacks, tea and coffee. There are no lifts while it has three storeys and hence a big challenge if one is housed up. It's sad to see such a beautiful asset being wasted. Worst no internet and no card payment possible.

We discovered a Perfect Paradise for family at Kalimpong in "The Yakka Retreat and Spa". Perched on top of hill offering serene and panoramic views of snow capped Kanchenjunga range from hotel room , this privately run exclusive resort by owner Sonam Tsamang and his team is highly recommended for families with children, group of close friends or couples seeking a relaxing, blissful holiday experience complete with spacious modern yet traditional rooms, delicious homestyle food( especially Indian) and warm customized service including bornfire and live music. Make sure you get in touch with Edwin from marketing team to make your experience special and memorable. Our family loved every bit of our stay and cannot wait to be back soon to re-live the magic of Kalimpong !

We stayed in Yakha retreat on 29th September,2018.We booked this hotel from MMT.After reading all the negative reviews in TripAdvisor we got confused regarding our booking in Yakha. But to our surprise it was a marvelous stay in Yakha.Room was big enough and very clean. Food and Service were great!!!We really enjoyed our stay amidst the clouds!! Also special thanks to Mr. Yawan.

I booked my stay through Booking.com and received the confirmation. But when I arrived @ reception I was informed that no booking was made. Poor quality of staffs, untrained room service. Wifi works only at the reception desk, not in your room. Intercom seldom works. They kept me waiting about 2& half hrs and then arranged a room for that night because it was dark by 6:30 PM and no means of travel available. Don't book it through online. Because reservation are made first come first serve basis. And most important the contact no. mentioned in booking.com website is not the hotels'. It's of some agents. Resort is located most remotely. 40-45 minutes walking dist. from Deolo. Go at your own risk, because if some1 reaches before you w/o any online booking, they will get the room instead of you. Don't get hypnotised by their colourful and camouflaging pics.
