What's Good: First I would like to Thank Yatra.com, for extending their good-will they maintaining with their customers. As we approached the hotel, they did not honor the Yatra.com booking saying the hotel prices have been increased and we have to pay the difference amount. Then Immediately I called yatra.com customer care, and in no time, yatra has told us NOT to pay a single amount, we settle the matter with the hotel thru Yatra's end and Yatra.com has paid the differential amount on our behalf. Such a nice and good customer care they have and they try to do all the things to maintain with the customer. Thanks for that good gesture Yatra. I would come back to you for next booking. Regarding the Hotel now: 1. Rooms: Deluxe double rooms we taken (2 nos.): can give 3.5 stars for the room and ambience. 2. AC: Its working all the time 24*7, so all 5 stars. 3. Bathroom & toilet: Good & neat and clean. 4 stars. 4. Hot water: Hotel reception said, from morning 4AM to 8 AM they switch on, but we requested that we may need hot water as we are tried very much and may get up late in the morning by 11.00 AM, then they switched on the heaters 24 hours for us on request free of Cost!!. All 5 stars 5. Breakfast: Its complimentary, however if you take any extra the charges are very high. Quality of Food: 2.5 stars. 6. Beds : they were okay, 3.5 stars. Over all: I would rate the hotel as 3. 75 to 4 stars. And all 10 stars to Yatra.com

This is a hotel maintained by tamil nadu government tourism department (popularly called Hotel TTDC) and is located at a very prime location in Kanchipuram. The services in hotel are pretty okay. There are A/C rooms which are well maintained.

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. We took the Deluxe double room which was quite spacious. Ample car park and a calm place. The PoS machine was not working. We were forced to pay in cash. They didnt even allow us to do online payment. The break-up was not readily explained, we had to ask several times to understand the break-up of the bill amount. Though we have booked for 2 nights and paid the advance, after 1 day is over, the receiptionist entered our room and asked us settlement for 1 day. we strongly refused and said will settle the entire bill during check out. It was very annoying. It appears like this person does not have any supervisor to control.

This is a bit pricey compared to other hotels in the city. However, it is a govt hotel and has its space for parking and rooms are big. Though neatness can be maintained more and could've served good coffee instead of hot water with coffee powder.

3 hrs from Chennai, a small city at Tamilnadu having full of temple. One day trip is enough. You can hire cab or auto to cover most of the temples in one day, as they say there are 108 temples,so be selective on that. There are local trains from Chennai will take Rs.40 approximately per person
