I checked in with this hotel for three nights during my family trip to Dharamsala. I will not suggest the hotel for any family, couple or anyone. This hotel has a very shabby feel. It is more like a guest house and lot less like a hotel. The location is the only advantage. We stayed at room no. 401 which is supposed to be a delux room. The room had a small balcony whose door would only half open and you have to sway by the side and reach the balcony. The view from the balcony was good as it provides a valley landscape. DO NOT look down from the balcony as you will see all garbage and on the right side there is a wall blocking. The bathroom had a geyser (thankfully and was working). The bed linen was dirty, spotted and even had cigarette holes. They do not have a housekeeping facility and neither do they have a proper storage for the linen, pillows etc. There were no towels or soaps provided and we had to ask repeatedly for them. The service is PATHETIC. They do not have a restaurant and food is brought from outside. Also in room 401 the walls are stained and even has blood marks (dont know how..may be someone killed a mosquito) The service staff is as confused as hell. Very un-professional and very cold. They make you feel as if they are having mercy on you by letting you stay there. Overall, the stay is not pleasant at all. I will never recommend the hotel to anybody with a family. Ok for trekkers or solo travellers.

It's located on the temple road, in the main market area. The rooms on the back side offer a splendid view. Regarding amenities in the rooms, all the electric switches work (it's actually a amenity in this area in the hotels of this budget), washroom was in a good condition, lighting conditions was not perfect, but was ok. But they don't have inverter, so when I was there, there was no power for at least 2-3 hours in the night time and I had to wait to go the bed again. Also, if you go out in the evening, be sure to close your balcony gate and windows, otherwise you'll be welcomed by some good number of insect friends when you come back. Also, I stayed in room no 201 and there was no wifi on that floor. It's in the main market area, so all the places are near by. On the other hand, if you want a place that offers more peace, then look for some hotel on the jogiwara road, not on the temple road. As usual, the person in charge is very nice and you can ask him to arrange anything you want.

Opted for a room#301 with balcony view, but was barely able to use it due to insects and lest a monkey or bird decide to enter the room. <+>ves -cheap -The owner is a very nice and resourceful gentlemen and will help and arrange with all your needs. -Right on the temple road -Clean bathroom - No restaurant <->ves -Bathroom with non functional geyser -Dirty walls and linens -No waste paper basket -TV didn't have remote -I had to ask 4 times for a towel and the one provided was dirty too. I will avoid it very much next time unless I am in dire needs.

Fits my pocket and is very conveniently located. The balconies offer a great view of the valley and I'm a regular here due to the friendly service, low cost rental bikes and the beautiful handicraft showroom all offered all under one roof! A no fuss hotel with all the standard amenities ( which unlike many places, doesn't fail at this place ever) and pocket friendly. The terrace is great! If possible, avoid non balcony basement rooms if you are alone. If with company, this place has good privacy. Chiefs team
