Quaint cottages in a peaceful green property. Was perfect for our family holiday (of 7 adults). And always it is the personal touch that transforms a property to something memorable. Darang Tea Estate owners definitely did that. One evening we came back really disappointed after having driven long, all the way to the Dhauladhar ranges but unable to paraglide because of cloudy weather. Out came toast with jam & tea as an unexpected treat. Having said that we would have preferred the option to simplify meals (we were the only guests) since our food bill exceeded the budget planned.

We stayed at Darang Tea Estate on the way to McLeod Ganj/Dharamkot and had a wonderful, relaxing time there. The surroundings are beautiful, we took a nice 1.5h walk around the area accompanied by one of the estate's lovely dogs. The rooms are beautiful, the food delicious and, most importantly, Neera and Naveen were absolutely lovely and helpful, replying quickly to messages, helping us organise the journey to the estate and telling us about the area, possible sightseeing options etc. Thanks again you two for a memorable stay!

Home stay at Darang was incredible. Super-hosts - Neeru and Naveen Bhandari - made our stay comfortable and memorable! While staying for 2 nights/3 days at the first cottage, we soon became "part of the family". The three dogs - Casper, Diana and Brandi - contribute to the affection. While animal lovers will adjust very quickly, do inform Bhandaris in case you take time to adjust to dogs. Tips - Do discuss your plans in detail with Naveen before you book your tickets. He has an amazing ability to value-add and refine your itinerary!! Airtel works well; Vodafone signals were weak. We took a bus from Delhi, with the final destination as Bir. The estate is en-route, and thus we got dropped right at the door-step. Net-net it was value for money. We focused on our sight-seeing, without worrying about the stay hassles!

We had the pleasure of spending 4 nights/5 days at this beautiful place. The cottage given to us was quaint and lovely. They have a fabulous place with natural beauty and greenery to envelop you . The food was awesome -mostly homemade. The staff was very hospitable and friendly. The pet dogs were excellent company and really entertained us throughout. Even though the hosts were not there physically, Mrs.Bhandari ensured that we were well taken care of and would check in with us everyday. Would highly recommend this place for everyone looking for some quiet and peace and wanting to get back in touch with nature. Hope to go there another time..

At Darang estate the way Neera and Naveen treated us it was not a home stay, it was home coming. Location of the tea estate is very scenic and from the veranda you can see the snow clad mountains. We used to have lovely walks. The food is out of the world-exotic food. 4 / 5 course delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner served with affection in the company of Neera and Naveen sparkling with humour and unending stories of their tea estate for last 6 generations absolutely spell bound. Never experienced such warm hospitality and care Neera and Naveen have become like our own family members and lifelong friends.
