Best of the rest
by asish_nehra on September 10, 2017
I am little bit late in reviewing the property. I have travelled in the month of June with my family friends. I have decided this property after a big discussion and finally I got the Best from the Rest. The property is surrounded by beautiful natural surrounding. Rooms were excellent and the food was awesome. Mr. Krishnan will be always there to help you and make your holiday great and special. He helped us in getting ur jungle safaris when we didn't booked in online. I am 100% satisfied and recommend to everyone who planning Kanha.
Good property with excellent service.

Visit - June 2017 Weather - End of summer, hot but manageable. Good property with excellent service. Room was very large with view of the Banjar river. Overall room and bathroom sizes are very good. However i think that the such large rooms need more than one air conditioner to keep it really cool on summer days. Service and the staff is exemplary. The best i have experienced. Despite us being on the all meal plan, they really accommodated with our meal choices. The food is great and is a blend of home and restaurant style cooking - which was awesome. Not many alcohol choices except Kingfisher premium beer. This resort is close to the Mukki gate which is one of the best gates for Tiger sightings in Kanha. It takes about 20 mins from 7 tigers to get to Mukki gate, so it helps if you are going for the 530am safari. They packed us a brilliant breakfast for our morning safari and Sonu was a great naturalist with good knowledge. Do note there is no Wifi and mobile signal (airtel) is very patchy. While i think that's great; for people who cant live without connectivity should make note of it. Overall a great place and super team. I would recommend if you could build a small play area with slides etc for toddlers/kids.
Could not have been better.

Its a nice resort..a little expensive but a good choice. Our room was lovely and food was great. We were hoping to be able to see tigers here as well and we were not disappointed. Our naturalist, was absolutely the best. He is not only very well informed, but he goes out of his way to provide fabulous service. Even on the day when the park was closed he made sure we were taken around the villages and could interact with the local people. We could not have been better.
Needs some loving

To preface my review, firstly we are Australians so maybe our standards are higher. Secondly this appeared to be the best hotel in the area. Third I understand completely it's a natural resort, dedicated to wildlife etc. The staff are wonderful, couldn't do enough for us, even though a number of them had very limited skills in English. Our room, one of the so called luxury bungalows was a long walk to the restaurant. It was quiet though and had a lovely view of the river. We were there at the end of the season, not only was it very hot but there were no other European guests. The room was huge, bathroom adequate even though we had no hot water. Explanation? It's hot we turn the hot water off, ours was never put on. The resort only accepts cash. There is no wi fi and although the manager tried to connect me to her hot spot it didn't work. You would ONLY come here to go on safari, we saw 3 tigers and had a great driver. kamale. The roof of our room was covered in plastic, " to keep the heat out". ????????? The ceiling inside showed signs of water damage and was mouldy. The pool was ok,but it was bit off putting when large local families arrive and jump in fully clothed. There was no bar. The meals were all Indian and pretty basic. The hotel closes for a couple of months from June 15, when the rains come. I hope they would get some maintenance done in that time.

We were at the resort in March end...Loved everything about this place..Their hospitality is unmatched..Will ensure that every need of yours is taken care of..Rooms are very well maintained...Shashi maam, Krishnan sir, sonu and the team of chefs leave no stone unturned to make your stay perfect. Sonu was our naturalist.. his knowledge is admirable .. we booked for the bird watching trip ..This was fun and involved hiking to the woods. We had also booked two safaris one in Kanha zone and one in mukkhi zone.unfortunately we couldn't spot Tigers..However sonu made it worth it. Food is very homely and tasty..They also show a very interesting documentary on the life of tigers.. if going to Kanha, this is the place to be in surely...Would definitely visit again..Thanks to the entire team of 7 tigers for making this a memorable visit
In summer it gets really hot and air conditioning is not the best for bigger rooms. Choose smaller rooms if going in summer.
