Manshore Bay Resort is in all ways exceeding our expectation and certainly our best hotel / guest house experiences in India (maybe in the world after travelling to 15 plus countries) 1. One of its kind environment - Waking up with sounds of sea waves, private beach, v limited rooms / exclusivity 2. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable host (Nikhil) who helps us plan out our trip (including Theyyam and a Kerlaite wedding). We also have numerous interesting conversations where he shares his culture and insights 3. Super friendly staff (Sucesh, Naveen, Vineeth) who always have a bright smile and keep the resort spotlessly clean. Sucesh was very kind to invite us to his house where we have amazing conversations with him and his wife 4. Delicious food - Nikhil mum cooks one of the best Indian meals I have ever had in my 5 trips to India

After 24 hours flying to India Manshore Bay is a welcome sight. Whilst a challenge to get to by car or taxi, our host Nicholas escorts you the final few hundred metres with a smile and no problem. The hotel is multi-levelled with our room being part of the older building and very suitable for our basic needs, clean, all necessary furniture and facilities, and a real double bed! although the mattress is firmer than at home. We ate Indian food from breakfast to dinner and it was homely, fresh and very very tasty. The staff try very hard and whilst their English isnt extensive they try, they learn and everything is done with a smile. The hotel can sort anything for you....trains, taxis, recommendations for places to visit, just ask. The beach is small and relatively private and Thottada beach is a short walk away which was empty when we went. The sea is warm and at the moment the swell is quite strong but lovely when youre in. You can sea the mussel divers daily going about their business, there is plenty of fish life (and also to eat) and we saw a school of dolphins pass by and also some jumping out of the water - so special to see, not your normal sight over breakfast. It is a peaceful place with the quiet only broken by the occasional fishing boat motor and the very infrequent tuk-tuk. Overall this is a friendly, homely place which is slowly upgrading. So dont come if you want the trappings of big hotels, but do if you want a relaxed time, idle chats, reading on the veranda with cold water or beers, mixing with the locals when out walking and not forgetting swimming in the warm Arabian Sea. Thanks Nicholas, (and his mum the cook) Nevin, Vinny, and the old guy from down the road who also helped.

We all would love to visit and stay at a place where we get relaxation of mind, happiness and comfortable feeling through good ambience. I have experienced these at Manshore Bay, Kannur during our stay for 2 days. Even though the property has been bought and listed as a resort recently, the hospitality we received was too good! We first got in touch with Mr.Nikhil who is the owner of the property. Through him we got in contact with Mr. Suresh (Manager of the resort). An elderly person who is so down to earth, knowledgable and extremely friendly. Wont be wrong if I said he was the one who made us feel at home. There are 2 other boys hailing from Tamil Nadu who help in the daily chores of the resort. They are ever smiling and help every tourist with much delight and happiness! Speaking about the property, its located beside the beach and you can enjoy a beach view from the glass-room (delux rooms). The place is quiet and calm. Food is typical Kerala type and hygienic. The rooms are pretty small but are well maintained. Hot water may be a problem sometimes. The location to the resort is a little difficult to trace and would be really better if help of the manager or the owner is sought for. Mobile networks may fluctuate a lot (faced issues with airtel and bsnl); however, we were given jio wifi dongle for internet connectivity. Overall, this is a great property for those looking to relax amidst nature with humble people to help and support your stay.

We had two night stay in Man shore Bay . As its monsoon in kerala it was off- season. Hence so peaceful stay with only sea waves sound in entire 24 hours. The property is bit small not much do with inside the resort. The resort has separate access to near by small beach. Monsoon alert were there so we are restricted to go. The Sea view room is pretty good , as we can hear and see the beauty of the sea. and enjoy the rain too... The Manager and assistants were too helpful. Food nothing much to say , felt like home.special Thanks to the chef. During day you can go to payyambalm beach, light house, Kannur st agnes fort, Muzhuppilangadi beach. The last one is awesome beach that you can walk 4 to 5 KM. If you are really sea-lover, you have to come here definitely.

Good location. You can't find a proper board to reach this property. Food is average. Property not maintained well. Lack of cleaning both inside room and surrounding. Restaurant area , lot of debris. Beach is almost private.
