Diwali Weekend stay at The Forest Club Resort, Karjat (during Covid times)
by Navigate556897 on
The place is pretty - no doubt about that. Staff in the restaurant took all precautions with masks & gloves. However, when we checked into our room, one of the door handles was broken. Housekeeping wasn't able to fix it as they didn't have the required tools. My husband had to fix it with a Victorinox tool set that he had. We were 2 adults and 1 child. They had to give us an extra mattress but didn't do so till we asked on the second day of our stay. Due to Covid, pool access was off limits. But, there was a couple with their child in the pool flouting rules. I brought it to the notice of the duty manager. Didn't wait to see if he did anything about it. The TV set in the room offered only local, regional fare which was very boring for us given that there is otherwise not much one can do at the resort (after playing some games in the game room). So we had to log in to our Netflix account to watch something more to our taste. Food was OK. Tasty but left us with a very bloated feeling in our tummies. All in all, an average stay.
not worth the price

The location is good , the property is good but not worth the price that we paid (22,000inr for 2 night s) . Had it been 15000inr it would have been value for money . Food is good but dont choose buffet go for ala carte i strongly recommend that . Their buffet is not having a very good spread and very less options to go for . the staff and service is very good .. If you want to enjoy go for rooms with pools attached We had booked premium rooms .
Worst experience ever.

Worse rooms ever i have seen in my life. Dirty not cleaned during check in no hygine. Stay is absolutely pathetic. Picture on social media is just to fool people around. No refund we immediately checked out the day we check in.
The poolside or nothing at all
by SmitaB on
The Forest Club is a beautiful property, well maintained, with a lovely garden area and views to the valley. It is well worth paying extra to stay on the poolside. That was the clincher for me. The corner room is more secluded because kids can get noisy in the pool. Nights are generally quiet. A train runs past the property whose melody is almost soothing. Food and drinks are well priced and done well. The negative according to me was, while this is a premium property and charges quite a bit, it misses the subtle touches of a hotel chain like Taj: toiletries for one, in-room beverage sachets for one serving, no backup toilet rolls, a strict checkout time. Nevertheless, for the adjoined pool, it is worth it.
