  • Perfect getaway for Relaxing

I recently visited Kasauli in April and was suggested to stay at this wonderful place by a colleague. I would say that its an under-rated property with very comfortable and spacious cottages, very co-operative staff and decent food. Tapovan resort is located on the highway and is about 10 km before Kasauli which makes it compelling as its neither too close nor too far. Dharampur is about 2 km from this resort. The staff is very co-operative and polite. Their food quality is good, we tried Chinese and Indian and found it decent. The quantities are pretty large hence order carefully. The cottages are comfy and spacious and good for 4 people. It's a green property with all the basic amenities. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the wonderful experience !!

  • Horrible staff

    by 862hardeeps on

The staff is absolutely horrible and rude in behaviour . We had a new year's Eve party at the resort. Our bottle of liquor was stolen from the table while we were dancing When we asked the staff about ,they started misbehaving and act rudely I was asked by the captain of the staff if I had " handed over " the bottle to the waiter before going on the dance floor . I asked him if this was a railways platform or a bus station that we had to " hand over " our stuff the waiter s . Instead of apologising for the missing bottle the staff behaved very rudely . On being asked to identify himself ,this particular man simply refused to give his name . Later we found out that he was the " captain " of the staff . Apart from this , the rooms are not very clean . The sheets were also dirty . I could still accept the other faults of the resort like above mentioned things about the room but a rude and unfriendly staff absolutely ruins your experience . So please decide for your self

  • Amazing resort lagging behind...

Have stayed at Tapowan before when it had just opened and everything was brand and sparkling new then. This time I found everything had moved a notch down... maintenance basically. Its a huge resort and with lots of competition coming into the surroundings, the bookings have probably fallen and thus affecting the overall look & feel of the cottages. The staff are friendly & nice even though they have a lot of running around to do all day. A nice stop over on the way to Shimla or Kufri or Chail etc.
