What's Good: Simplicity with basic facilities
What needs to improve : The road that leads to the hotel

I've spent 2 nights each, on two different occasions, in Manan Home Stay. They have AC & Non-AC rooms, as well as Veg/Non-Veg food. The place is quite close to the beach and really peaceful. Here are the pro's and con's - PROS 1. The beach lies right across the road - This is the secluded portion of the beach, not the one with all the tourist traps lining the sand. I go to Kashid primarily for the empty, unspoiled beach, so this one is pretty big for me. 2. The food is excellent. The lady of the house cooks home-style veg, or non-veg food, as per your preference. I am veg, and I absolutely loved the food - Every single item in the veg thali was really tasty and eminently edible. 3. The food/beverages are quite reasonably priced. Another important factor, especially if you're planning on coming over with a family, or staying more than a few days. 4. The home stay is located 50 meters off the road, so it is quite peaceful at all times of the day. 5. The owners are really chill and nice people, and go out of their way to help you out. 6. The rooms are relatively new, and reasonably clean. CONS 1. The bathrooms could be a bit cleaner - Mainly the commode. Nothing specific, but it could just do with a thorough scrub. 2. The electricity situation is a bit iffy in Kashid. So if you go during the summer months, or book an AC room, chances are that there will be frequent powercuts. However, if you have booked an AC room, then the owners turn on a generator, incase there is a powercut. 3. Mobile signal is virtually unavailable in this part of Kashid. I was using Airtel, and had no network for 2 days while I was there. I believe Idea & most other service providers have the same connectivity issues. However, the owners have a mobile phone (Vodafone), which they top up with credit, and this can be used as an alternate means of communication during your stay here. But yeah, if you have a Vodafone mobile, you may be better off in Kashid. 4. The linen/towels look and feel a bit worn out. I suggest you carry your own towels atleast. That's basically it - I've stayed in a few other homestays in Kashid, but this one is the best, by far. The food is great, the prices reasonable and it's a hop, skip and jump to the beach. Go for it :)

We had a great time staying at Manan for a couple of nights. The room was reasonably spacious and clean. Food served was very good and the response of the owner for occasional requests for tea / coffee were attentive and prompt. Best part is, Kashid beach was approachable by walk in 5 mins flat. The house has nice space in the front to breathe in open. Owner was very hospitable and took good care of us. All in all, go for this option if you are looking for a home stay nearby Kashid beach.

Booked two rooms from Stayzilla for 6 of us. Although prices are relatively cheaper compared to other accomodations in Kashid,we felt its a bit expensive paying 1700 for one small room. This place is towards the end of Kashid beach, which is about 2km away from the main Kashid beach center. The host is friendly. We've ordered Chicken Handi and Rice for dinner and food tasted good. This place is named after this host's cute son Manan.

Clean and hygienic place close to the beach. Good value for money. Homely and pleasant environment. Awesome food and service. Not far from beach. Food at the beach is good, one can experience delicious sea food with awesome beach view. We spent 1500 on lunch for 4 people... kashid main beach is roughly 3 km away from the resort. Overall nice stay with good food and relaxing environment.
