The Nature-Hunt Eco Campis located at Kaziranga National Park. It is within the Territory of KazirangaNational Park, at a distance of 4 KM from Kohora Chariali. A lush green in the autumn and a wide stretch of brown in the winter prevails in the vast paddyfield that exists in front of the Eco Camp and in between the tiny hillock andthe NH 37.
There are total 8cottages out of which 3 individual cottages. All cottages are on twin sharingbasis and charmingly furnished with individual interiors. The decor andfurnishings made of bamboo, cane and wood.
Attached European toilets have 24hours hot/cold running water. Numbers of Jungle tents are distributed atop thehillock for accommodation to jungle lovers. One big sized dormitoryhas been raised for both accommodation and seminar/conference etc.
All thesecottages and dormitory have been raised on stilts above the ground which iscalled Chang Ghar (house) in local language and made of bamboo, thatch, Ikora(Long grass) and wood with mud clad wall. The meal menu is fixed and on buffetsystem.
The Camp is atop a tinyhillock covered with tea plantation under shades of varieties of trees with atranquil surrounding where one can stay with comfort with an Eco friendlyenvironment.

What's Good: Calm and serene place... Staff was very attentive. Food was good. Complete value for money
What needs to improve : Tent rooms could be slightly better with covered washroom

What's Good: Loved the food and the ambiance

What's Good: The huts and tents have been set up in a nature friendly environment. Away from the eatery and restaurants, you have to take food from this lodge. Food is very costly and you have little choice. Service of staff is very poor. You may have to wait for more than one hour to get one bucket of hot water.Single plug point in the tents are inadequate for charging mobile, laptop and digital camera at the end of the day. Evening is extremely boring. Manager tries to help the tourists to arrange jip and elephant safari, but at the cost of extra premium. I had two night's booking but returned back after single night. Not to come here again.

What's Good: Value for money is really very poor. The food..whatever one takes is fixed at 375 per head per meal ...there isn't any other place nearby and one is forced to eat only there. So if one person eats 3 meals a day, it will cost nearly 1200 + rooms lack basic amenities. Also after evening there is absolutely nothing to do.no TVs also..

What's Good: After looking at the pics and reading reviews we thought to go for this one as it is a different concept and want to stay close to the nature. We were not at all disappointed when we reached there and loved the concept. The food was good and tasty, the cottage and bathrooms were nice and clean and staff was very hospitable and courteous and gave very good service. Mr. Ronnie and his team have put in a great effort in building and maintaining the quality of the property. One of the best things is that there is no TV in any of the cottages or tents and then too we really enjoyed a lot and relished our time in nature hunt eco camp, such is the beauty of it. Mr. Souvik made a great arrangement for safaris and elephant safari too. He accompanied with us in one of the safari and due to him we were able to spot the TIGER. All credit goes to him for that as he has a great eye and ear of understanding the animalŐs calls and spotting the tiger. In such a dense forest it is very difficult to spot tigers but we spotted it twice. The jeep safari driver was also very helpful because due to him we spotted lots of animals/birds, which is the richness of the park and true to its tag of a world heritage site. It was really one of the best experiences of life in Kaziranga and will treasure it forever as this was our first jungle experience and nature hunt eco camp added value to it....INCREDIBLE!!!!

Its 90 km from Jorhat Airport and 240 km from Guwahati . They have pick up facility from both. The bamboo huts inside a small tea garden are excellent. Rooms are clean, so also the bathrooms. Bed is superbly comfortable. But these huts have basic amenities as expected in a jungle camp.Foods are well cooked and tasty. They offer Assamese, Indian, Chinese and Continental platter in Dinner and Lunch. Complimentary breakfast have limited but tasty menu. Manager Avik arranges for all Safaries including Elephant Safari. Ronnie , the owner through Whatsapp manages all. Driver Manjyoti and Niranjan looks after the Safaries. Beautiful place to stay for visiting Kaziranga National forest.

Very nice, calm and peaceful resort. Staff are very helpful and very caring. Bamboo hut was a wonderful experience, very clean and comfortable. Loved the food. Missed the tribal meal as they require 24 hours notice to prepare. Overall wonderful experience.

Myself and my partner stayed for 3 nights and was amazed at how clean our bamboo hut was, the mattress was so comfy unlike the normal in India, the staff were amazing and helpful, only 200meters of the main road but so quite and nice looking over a tea field, the dogs are well looked after around the camp and only come for pats if you want to pat them and then they will sleep at your door which we loved. if you pay them no attention they wont bother you.

I chanced upon Nature Hunt Eco Camp through one of my friends. Ronnie, the owner, was quick to revert to all my queries and I was on way in no time. Everything was arranged perfectly right from pick up from the airport at Guwahati and reaching the Camp and then drop back to airport. All along Aovick Dasgupta who is the Manager of the camp, was in touch with me. I stayed in an ethnic hut at the Camp which was clean & spacious with all modern amenities. All the huts have lovely sit outs where one can enjoy reading and a cup of strong Assamese tea. They don't have a TV in the camp & rightly so. Airtel has good connectivity as the camp is just about 200-300 mtrs from the highway. There is also a generator in the camp. Aovick manages the camp very well and also handles all safaris. The quality and quantity of food is great at the Camp. Right from Assamese traditional Thalis one can find many Indian and even continental dishes in the menu and the cook is really good. The camp has two cars of their own, one is a Maruti Omni van which is driven by Monjyoti Bodo and is mainly used to transfer guests to elephant rides or pick ups. The other is an open Maruti Gypsey driven by Niranjan and used for Safaris. I took 6 safaris in my three nights stay at the camp. I did all the three ranges of Kaziranga and also Guha Pahar. The three zones are very close to the Camp. Nature Hunt Eco Camp is a wonderful property amidst a small tea garden and is ideal if you are visiting Kaziranga.

Let's be honest, us foreigners have been spoiled by the comforts we enjoy back home. Throughout our stay in India, we've constantly had to remind ourselves that this is only temporary, it's just a place to sleep, don't think too much about your nice comfortable bed back home. The Nature Hunt Eco Camp is not like the rest of these "adequate" hotel rooms and home stays. This serene resort located down a 200 meter dirt road is a game changer and here's why: 1. The cleanliness The Assam type bamboo cottage we stayed in was clean and comfortable and so was the bathroom! First stain free mattress we've seen in India. 2. The staff The staff and management have really come together to offer a spectacular experience. They make sure that you're well fed, taking your breakfast, lunch and dinner orders ahead of time. They organized all of our safaris for us, even packing a boxed breakfast for an early tour. 3. The food The food is delicious. The water served in the dining room is filtered and safe to drink for us foreigners! Try the tribal platter (you need to order it one day in advance). Thank you very much to Aovick and the rest of the staff for welcoming us and making us wish that we could stay another day!
