The Nature-Hunt Eco Campis located at Kaziranga National Park. It is within the Territory of KazirangaNational Park, at a distance of 4 KM from Kohora Chariali. A lush green in the autumn and a wide stretch of brown in the winter prevails in the vast paddyfield that exists in front of the Eco Camp and in between the tiny hillock andthe NH 37.
There are total 8cottages out of which 3 individual cottages. All cottages are on twin sharingbasis and charmingly furnished with individual interiors. The decor andfurnishings made of bamboo, cane and wood.
Attached European toilets have 24hours hot/cold running water. Numbers of Jungle tents are distributed atop thehillock for accommodation to jungle lovers. One big sized dormitoryhas been raised for both accommodation and seminar/conference etc.
All thesecottages and dormitory have been raised on stilts above the ground which iscalled Chang Ghar (house) in local language and made of bamboo, thatch, Ikora(Long grass) and wood with mud clad wall. The meal menu is fixed and on buffetsystem.
The Camp is atop a tinyhillock covered with tea plantation under shades of varieties of trees with atranquil surrounding where one can stay with comfort with an Eco friendlyenvironment.

What's Good: Calm and serene place... Staff was very attentive. Food was good. Complete value for money
What needs to improve : Tent rooms could be slightly better with covered washroom

What's Good: Loved the food and the ambiance
What needs to improve : The cottages need some upgrade and mosquitos were bit of an issue

What's Good: The huts and tents have been set up in a nature friendly environment. Away from the eatery and restaurants, you have to take food from this lodge. Food is very costly and you have little choice. Service of staff is very poor. You may have to wait for more than one hour to get one bucket of hot water.Single plug point in the tents are inadequate for charging mobile, laptop and digital camera at the end of the day. Evening is extremely boring. Manager tries to help the tourists to arrange jip and elephant safari, but at the cost of extra premium. I had two night's booking but returned back after single night. Not to come here again.

What's Good: Value for money is really very poor. The food..whatever one takes is fixed at 375 per head per meal ...there isn't any other place nearby and one is forced to eat only there. So if one person eats 3 meals a day, it will cost nearly 1200 + rooms lack basic amenities. Also after evening there is absolutely nothing to do.no TVs also..

What's Good: After looking at the pics and reading reviews we thought to go for this one as it is a different concept and want to stay close to the nature. We were not at all disappointed when we reached there and loved the concept. The food was good and tasty, the cottage and bathrooms were nice and clean and staff was very hospitable and courteous and gave very good service. Mr. Ronnie and his team have put in a great effort in building and maintaining the quality of the property. One of the best things is that there is no TV in any of the cottages or tents and then too we really enjoyed a lot and relished our time in nature hunt eco camp, such is the beauty of it. Mr. Souvik made a great arrangement for safaris and elephant safari too. He accompanied with us in one of the safari and due to him we were able to spot the TIGER. All credit goes to him for that as he has a great eye and ear of understanding the animalŐs calls and spotting the tiger. In such a dense forest it is very difficult to spot tigers but we spotted it twice. The jeep safari driver was also very helpful because due to him we spotted lots of animals/birds, which is the richness of the park and true to its tag of a world heritage site. It was really one of the best experiences of life in Kaziranga and will treasure it forever as this was our first jungle experience and nature hunt eco camp added value to it....INCREDIBLE!!!!

We were there for 2 days here and loved everyday we spent in this place. They organised safaris, joy rides all without a hitch. Roni the hands-on owner of the place was keeping us informed about the weather from day one. On reaching Avick the manager spent time with information about the place. The food was excellent and the helper Narayan was there for everything we needed. Beautiful cottages with their own small landscape of tea garden. The cows and calf roaming al around and the hot yummy food, what else do you need to rejuvenate...

Hotel booking: We booked this by directly contacting the resort management team, in our case it was Ronnie. Couple of email exchanges and we had the net banking details and the booking was done smoothly. The general trend is to pay half of the entire stay as advance. The daily charge includes the breakfast. They charge Rs 750 for kids above age of 5 (this is based on May-18). Accessibility from Guwahati We travelled from Bangalore to Guwahati and took the cab from Guwahati airport to the resort. This resort falls on the highway to Jorhat. There is a board of Nature Eco Hunt on the highway (which at times can be missed) and so keep your google map on to ensure to locate it. We travelled from Guwahati at 8 pm and reached Eco Hunt resort at 2 am, the entire stretch of the road was busy and so no such risk in driving on the highway but would advise you all to talk to Ronnie and then make the journey at night. We knew our driver pretty well and so took the chance of moving at night. It will take close to 5 6 hrs to reach from Guwahati. Location of hotel - The hotel is located close to the highway but within the Kaziranga park. There are fields adjacent to the resort and you can have a leisurely walk in the fields. It is 10 mins walking distance from the highway. There are no shops in walking distance and the resort will cater to your entire needs. Check-in experience - Smooth check-in experience and a very friendly manager (Abhik) to greet you. As we reached at 2 am, the hut(room) was kept ready for us and we directly went into the room. Abhik was sensitive enough to keep the formalities of check-in for the next day morning. Room Experience - We stayed in a Assam Type Bamboo cottage. The room is big enough and the bathroom was big and clean too. Enough power sources and the lights are not too bright but if you need additional light, there are adequate number of windows. You will need warm water and this is provided by the resort staff as and when you need it. Breakfast You are served freshly prepared food. No concept of buffet and we liked the concept as you ate what you think you will be able to eat making food wastage very less, also food was freshly prepared and taste was very good. Restaurant experience The restaurant is in the middle of the resort and has ample seating places. The people serving are very courteous and also efficient. We never had to wait too long for any of the food we ordered. Do try the Assam platter and also the tribal platter. They are just amazing. One Assam platter would be sufficient for two people unless you are very hungry. Resort Ambience: The resort is nicely located where it is neither far nor too near to the highway. It has the huts located across the periphery of the resort with a nice growing of tea plants and others trees. You can hear birds chirping through out the day and lots of trees within the resort. It is a clean and compact resort. Additional Service: They will arrange for both the jeep and elephant safari (provided that is during the permissible season of the Kaziranga Forest department). All of these requests are collected by Ronnie much before you land their and the arrangement made accordingly. You can see Abhik hurrying around at 4 am, to ensure all the guests are ready to reach the Elephant ride location or at 1:30 pm for the jeep safari. All the prices are discussed before hand and handled very transparently by both Ronnie and Abhik. The jeep safari was exceptionally good and we had a lovely time in the Jungle. Please keep in mind, that there are three ranges Western, Eastern and Central and the jeep safari cost is different for each of them. Overall a very nice stay in the resort and we enjoyed our stay in Eco Hunt very much, right from the first mail interaction with Ronnie to the actual stay. We would highly recommend this resort to anyone who is going to Kaziranga as one of the most preferred resort to stay in Kaziranga.

Nice and quiet green place with simple cottages. Bit on the pricy side but because of great food and service worth it. We found the food too expensive and since we are small eaters they let us share the meals. Well....the food is absolutely delicious. And thanks for the great service.

Good place, very well maintained rooms, excellent food but service was slow. Meals were always late by 30 minutes or more. Only 1 housekeeping person to deliver stuff to the room or help with luggage They also overcharged on the elephant safari (1300/- per head against actual ticket rate of 900/- per head) This place can easily get rated 5 if they took care of the service
