What's Good: Everything was excellent.
What needs to improve : 1 intercom to avail room service would help.
Reason For Rating : The hotel is well maintained one. Hotel decoration from kitchen to individual rooms was very elegant and classy. Rooms were spacious and clean. Hotel has huge open area for kids to play around. The staffs are very helpful and we'll behaved. The manager is extremely helpful in responding to emails or calls or arranging elephant/Jeep Safari. Food is quite simple, tasteful and healthy. Excellent place to stay for a family and would surely visit again.

What's Good: The environment, the tasteful decor with the local touch, the cuisine and the spread
What needs to improve : The sometimes unresponsive toilet flush....
Reason For Rating : The hotel is perfect that I would expect when in the vicinity of a jungle. The rooms are tastefully decorated and are in sync with the environments and are clean. The food is home cooked traditional local cuisine, the spread is excellent and taste is wonderful. The staff is helpful, courteous and friendly. The owner- Mr Manju Baruah - is a very amicable and friendly person, a mine of information and is the reason why the resort is what it is today. He truly cares for the forest and the environment. They also arranged for safaris, elephant rides - all carried out by extremely helpful and knowledgeable guides. Our two day stay here was memorable and I would like to be back here soon. Thank you very much Mr Baruah, Mr Mintu and to all your staff.

as many of the other reviewers have already mentioned. it is an old lodge but despite that being set in a little village surrounding it, huge rooms with windows all around makes it lovely. we were there in dec/jan so it was cold and we had bonfires everynight which was nice to sit around. if you are expecting luxuries of modern hotels/resorts, this isnt the place for you. Also the food is ok nothing special. we stayed here 3 nights and were happy about it. the staff was helpful and we got our rides through the lodge. managed to even a tiger in the park, so was a wonderful visit.

I will echo with all the other reviews. The lodge is basic and stuck in the 90s. It may be the best hotel then but not anymore. Saying that, i liked my stay. People are nice, food is not to everyones liking but we liked it. It was nice sitting in the patio with a chilled lager.

From the time we checked in, I had a feeling that things would go downhill from there. The reception area itself is so delapidated and worn down , it sort of prepares u for what's to follow. We were booked for 4 nights, paid for through a travel agent. Reading reviews on TripAdvisor we were looking forward to it. As the porter took us to our room, we were aghast to see the condition. It was so small and damp. Looked like no one had stayed there for a long time. The air was moldy. The bed was stinking. The lawn outside was overgrown with weeds. If we had stayed there even for a night, I am sure someone would have fallen really sick breathing the foul air. We checked out immediately and thankfully got rooms in iora resort...which was very nice. Wildgrass didn't refund us anything. Don't be tempted by price or reviews..I would not stay in this even if someone paid me for it.

This lodge is very reminiscent of the 1950s. The room was large and although old fashioned was comfortable enough. At least there were two sheets on the bed and plenty of blankets available. Bottled water was provided in the bedrooms. The bathroom was ok with hot water for a bucket shower. Meals were included and were fine. When going out for an early elephant safari tea and biscuits were laid out for us to help ourselves to. When returning in the afternoon, snacks were waiting. The staff were pleasant and helpful. WiFi is available in the dining room only.

We, 5 friends, stayed at this hotel for 2 nights last week. It is a terrible run down lodge with a very rude manager. The reviews on TripAdvisor and other sources, plus the pictures on the website, looked very good and we booked the place, based on that, for 2 nights so that we could visit Kaziranga National Park from there. The rooms are very run down with dripping water from both the ceiling and toilet in the 3 rooms that were allocated to us. Changing rooms didn't help much as they were just as bad. The bed linen wasn't changed and dirty. The pillows and blankets have not had a change or any airing since the Lodge was built I think. The electric sockets are a risk to your life. Apart from the Manager, the other staff are nice and try their best to help. The food is also good.
