Hotel Harmony is the most inhospitable and unfavourable hotel in Khajuraho. The hotel staff has the worst behaviour and inappropriate manners of talking with customers. The hotel reception desk is occupied by a person who has no idea of who is booked at hotel and who is not. The hotel staff has no idea how to behave professionally with customers. Mostly yelling and screaming, inappropriate mannerisms towards women. Not at all safe, not family friendly or even women friendly. Hotel Harmony is only interested to cater to foreign tourist, unfortunately looting them, a bottle of 1 litre water is charged 100 rupees. food is so bad and so pricey we were forced to eat outside. The hotel desk is filled with roadside autodrivers and rischkshaw drivers only. Very very unsafe and the worst possible hotel in khajuraho, No idea how to talk, how to manage customers. Please dont go with familes, and single women stay away, anyone is eligible to come to your room, you will never know who is the hotel staff and who is not. all of them make inappropriate gestures to women. horrible very horrible hotel.

We stayed here for 1 night to visit the UNESCO world heritage site of the Khajuraho western temples. We were in room 108 which was basic but perfect for what we needed, nice big bathroom, comfortable and clean bed. The main selling point of this hotel is the location (just a 2 minute walk from the temples and close to loads of good restaurants and street shops) and the staff. All of the staff, including the owner, went above and beyond to help us during our short stay at the hotel and nothing was too much trouble. The owner even took us to an ATM on his motorbike because we had run out of cash and there were no working atms nearby. The hotel has a lovely shaded outside seating area to hide from the sun after visiting the temples and the onsite restaurant does good breakfast and lunch food if you do not fancy venturing far from the hotel and you can even watch the sunset from the roof. Overall a lovely stay and would not hesitate to recommend Hotel Harmony to anybody, thank you to the staff for the enjoyable stay.

Its a clean comfortable no fuss place. Its in the middle of a market place with many eateries and shops around. Autos are standing right outside the hotel to take you around. No need to hire taxis. Thr western group of temples (the main temple complex )is just a 5 min walk from here. They give room service. Their restaurant is basic but good. Wr stayed in a deluxe a.c room no 135 which was good. Bathrooms have basic amenities and is clean. But mind it hot water comes from the right side of thr tap. The jain temples are 10 min away from here. Either take an auto that takes rs 10 per person or do a 20 min walk. Khajuraho is a small town and everything can be done walking or by auto.

This was actually a real hotel with all the services needed (laundry, massages, restaurant, it is possible to pay by card) so much more options then other places we were staying (in Oraccha and Gwalior). Cleanless of towels and sheets should be improved!

I was surposed to be picked up at the train station and taken sightseeing by the hotel, no one arrived, caught tuk tuk to hotel, room was clean but hotel cleanliness was average and the older man at reception (the boss) was very unwelcoming and unfriendly. My room was near the restaurant, so was noisy and every time someone moved one of the heavy wooden chairs on the marble floor the sound reverberates through the hotel. On check out they were offering to take me to train station for a price even though it was included in my room price, and still no sightseeing offered. They ended up taking me to train at no cost after i took a photo of the travel voucher. The temple complex in the town is really beautiful, but the locals hassle the hell out of you on the street getting around. You cant walk the street sightseeing. There like annoying flies, following you trying to get you into there shop or use there bike or come to there village, even when you ignore then or tell them to go away, cross the street or double back they just keep following and hassling you, and when one finally leaves you another one steps up and does same thing. Ended up staying in the hotel the day just to avoid the whole thing. Ive been travelling through asia for more than 3 mths now and this was something ive not seen or experienced to this magnitude anywhere. So my advice to anyone visiting the town is come in private car with driver visit the temple complex and leave. Dont stay over night
