Yogi ashram guest house in real sense offers comfortable, relaxing, friendly and budget stay (270/day) in khajuraho. We did book this hotel for one night through bookingdotcom, we reach khajuraho railway station at 7am and the hotel owner manish ji (though he was out of station) arrange to pick and drop from railway station. We negotiated with the same auto for our entire tour programme in khajuraho (1000Rs), next day morning during drop at railway station the auto person claimed extra money, but thanks to manish ji for solve the issue. Check in time is 12:00pm but our early check in was arranged immediately, we got garden facing room, which was specious and clean, bathroom was also exceptionally clean facilitated with hot water geyser. Only limitation no TV in any room, property is quite specious, lots of birds around, We visited raneh falls, ken gharial sanctuary and a total of 19 wonderful sculptured rock cut ancient Indian temples, (a total of 85 temples was there in chandela dynesty now 22 remains) the main group of temples is western group of temples (12 temples), where ticket price is 50 Rs per person, with the same ticket you can visit the museum too. Light and sound show ticket is of 350 Rs for, major attraction of western group temples are Laxmana temple, Kandariya mahadev temple, chitragupta temple, Vishwanath temple etc. arts consists of daily life and love life of common people which covers 90% of total art. Other than western group of temples rest of temples having no entry fees. Hanuman temple is by the side of western group of temple, where regular worship done of lord Siva, so no entry fees for devotees. Eastern group of temples are having 3 temples (Adinath, Shantinath and Parshwanatha jain temple) those are basically Hindu temples but now converted to Jain temples. Other than two main group of temples there was Dulhadeo temple, and few other small temples. We take dinner & snacks in evening, food a bit costlier no doubt but very testy, we were only Indian family in this hotel rest all resident was foreigners. Western group of temple was 2km away, so by a comfortable morning walk you can visit through glory of Indian art, which I did obviously.

This is one of the cleanest rooms we had in India. It's very affordable, so we splurged and got their deluxe room. It was very spacious and clean with real spring matresses (a welcomed respite from weeks of inch-thick, soggy old mats on wooden boards). It came with a warm blanket. When we asked for towels, soap and toilet paper the person signing us in told us it costs extra, then disappeared while i pulled up our booking. Sure enough, it was listed as included; the next staff member I found obliged immediately without even needing to see the booking details. We did have to ask for any room service refills like soap or paper, but they gladly supplied us as needed. We stayed a week. The water will only be hot if they turn on the heater, which you need to ask for, but there was plenty of hot water a few minutes later. The yoga classes are 150, meditation by donation. Their yogi knows his stuff, and his classes will remind you of all the things that matter in yoga, not just the asanas (not just the work out; yoga is not about entertainment). The place was really very quiet and peaceful. Their food was good, some things better than others but definitely practical and tasty, and their prices were good too. It's an easy 20 or so minute walk to the western group of temples and the center of town. The tuktuk from the train station was 150, which sounds like a very fair price for 10km. Also the wifi, available in the lobby/lounge but not in rooms, worked quite well the majority of the time. I recommend it!

It's a lovely place to stay in khajuraho for rejuvenating as this place is very close to nature with lots of greenery around away from hustle and bustle of the city. Not far from Eastern and western group of temples which can be accessed easily with auto or rented bikes. This hotel is a complete package with lovely food in the in house kitchen, In house Aurvedic consultation(free), Aurvedic theparies, yoga and meditation, nature walk in beautiful lush lawns and gardens, sports activities like badminton and indoor games. This hotel made our stay more memorable as the owners and manager are very friendly and arranged everything for us from travel arrangements to places to visit in Khajuraho. Overall great and value for money.

This guest house has everything you could hope for when booking. The rooms are nice and big, and very clean. The building itself is really picturesque with huge ceilings and wide open spaces. They do good food (we ate all our meals here whilst staying in Khajuraho). Best of all, the guy that runs the place is without a doubt the most helpful and engaging person I've met on my travels through India, always there to give advice and a genuinely funny guy with great stories. Oh, and best best of all, the place is meant to have peacocks that roam around the gardens early in the morning. Never got up early enough to see them ourselves but gives us a reason to go back I guess!

Firstly, the guest house is beautiful & the rooms are clean. So, before arrival i get a call asking if i would like the guest houses rickshaw to pick us up for 90rupees, so i agreed because the price was very good. upon arrival we was rapidly checked in, which was super convenient, but I noticed the manager didn't ask for payment upfront which got my alarmbells ringing. Firstly: I ask for the wifi password, but the manager said the signal was down due to bad weather but will be fixed by the evening, by the second night aftwr amazing weather, the wifi still wasn't working, and their excuse was the router was broken. I believe they had switched it off due to low season and me and my friend being the only guests, on top of that we wasnt taking any of their meditation or yoga classes, so they had no obligation to switch it on. Secondly: we dined in their restaurant, the bill totally 230rupees (again they put it on our tab) we order veg biryani(100) and paneer biriyani(130), however on check out they tried to change us 230rupees but due to the alarmbells at check in, I kept tabs of everything we bought along with the prices. The managers excuse was they got mixed up with what we ordered they thought it was veg burger(130) and paneer burger(170) despite the bill clearly stating BIRIYANI!!!! Thirdly: we take their Rickshaw back to the station after check out, and we get half way and the driver stops and tells us the price is 190 on the way back! Apparently because it was 8am & morning time is more expensive, even though the same driver picked us up at 7:30am two days earlier!!!! Oh and the socket to plug the boiler in for hot water has been filled in with paper, so there is no running hot water. Again probably because its low season. Terrible service, I really wouldn't recommend this place!!! If you do be VERY CAUTIOUS!!!
