A very nice ambience and a location very near to the main group of temples i.e. the Western Group of Temples makes it all the more endearing. The front facade is very much like shown in the pictures-lush green with a lot of birds living on the property. We had booked 3 basic double rooms but were checked into Deluxe rooms as the Basic rooms were full, at no extra cost. The rooms were very nicely decorated and had a great ambience and lighting. All deluxe rooms are having a balcony and the balcony opens into a huge garden (lawn) which makes the stay all the more pleasurable. The rooms are spread on the ground and first floors. The hotel has an in-house restaurant and the managers/owners made sure that we did not go hungry in spite of reaching at a very odd hour of 11pm in the night due to a vehicle breakdown. The dining area is amidst lush green trees and it is spread onto the ground floor as well as the first floor. The food served is very tasty. If you are a birdwatcher like me and have a knack of trying to find birds even at non-birding places then Yogi Ashram will not disappoint you. I could sight at least a dozen of bird species in and around the property with the highlight being the sighting of Jerdon's Leafbird on the campus itself and a pair of peacocks on the boundary wall of the property. Other notable sightings included Indian Silverbills, a pair of Great Thick Knees in the areas behind the property, Grey hornbills on the trees abutting the property. I am attaching some images of the property but I guess i have deleted the pictures of the rooms by mistake. The hotel has an in House ayurvedic doctor and various types of ayurvedic treatments/massages are offered at this property at nominal rates. It also has a Yoga and Meditation centre in it's facilities. Overall a complete package. The only downside to this is the lack of an intercom facility (maybe they want you to walk ). I would definitely recommend this hotel to all. The tip is to book the deluxe rooms which are a real value for your hard earned money.

This is one of the best budget hotels in khajurao. The distance of the hotel from western grouping temple is hardly 2KM. The ambience is very good. It has large spread lawn and open seating arrangement of the restaurant. The food rate is reasonable also tasty. Yogi Shailesh who is one of the partner of the property is very helpful for all of the needs you have. They teach you free Yoga and meditation, although personally from my experience one or two days yoga and medication teaching will only guide you what is yoga and medication. For true learning many days practice is required. They are expanding there yoga and medication hall in a bigger way. They also have aryuvedic doctor's consultation facility which is a addon for ayurvedic buffer. Few odds were there during our stay that may happen at any hotel which I am not mentioning as those were minor. For person looking for good budget hotel in Khajurao must try Yogi Ashram.

I was only supposed to stay here few days but ended up staying over a week. This town is literally in the middle of nowhere India but it was exactly the soul food I needed. I had a beautiful room overlooking the garden and the room was big and clean and one of the better rooms I've stayed in. I enjoyed the beautiful conversations I had with the Yogis and the meditation and breathing techniques they provided me. The staff in general was extremely friendly and attentive and the food was beautiful. As a solo female traveller I felt completely safe and well looked after. I also spent a lot of time visiting the amazing western temples in town and I suggest you plan more than one visit, because it was a lot to take in and amazing energy. I highly recommend this Ashram for some soul food.

Yogi ashram guest house in real sense offers comfortable, relaxing, friendly and budget stay (270/day) in khajuraho. We did book this hotel for one night through bookingdotcom, we reach khajuraho railway station at 7am and the hotel owner manish ji (though he was out of station) arrange to pick and drop from railway station. We negotiated with the same auto for our entire tour programme in khajuraho (1000Rs), next day morning during drop at railway station the auto person claimed extra money, but thanks to manish ji for solve the issue. Check in time is 12:00pm but our early check in was arranged immediately, we got garden facing room, which was specious and clean, bathroom was also exceptionally clean facilitated with hot water geyser. Only limitation no TV in any room, property is quite specious, lots of birds around, We visited raneh falls, ken gharial sanctuary and a total of 19 wonderful sculptured rock cut ancient Indian temples, (a total of 85 temples was there in chandela dynesty now 22 remains) the main group of temples is western group of temples (12 temples), where ticket price is 50 Rs per person, with the same ticket you can visit the museum too. Light and sound show ticket is of 350 Rs for, major attraction of western group temples are Laxmana temple, Kandariya mahadev temple, chitragupta temple, Vishwanath temple etc. arts consists of daily life and love life of common people which covers 90% of total art. Other than western group of temples rest of temples having no entry fees. Hanuman temple is by the side of western group of temple, where regular worship done of lord Siva, so no entry fees for devotees. Eastern group of temples are having 3 temples (Adinath, Shantinath and Parshwanatha jain temple) those are basically Hindu temples but now converted to Jain temples. Other than two main group of temples there was Dulhadeo temple, and few other small temples. We take dinner & snacks in evening, food a bit costlier no doubt but very testy, we were only Indian family in this hotel rest all resident was foreigners. Western group of temple was 2km away, so by a comfortable morning walk you can visit through glory of Indian art, which I did obviously.

This is one of the cleanest rooms we had in India. It's very affordable, so we splurged and got their deluxe room. It was very spacious and clean with real spring matresses (a welcomed respite from weeks of inch-thick, soggy old mats on wooden boards). It came with a warm blanket. When we asked for towels, soap and toilet paper the person signing us in told us it costs extra, then disappeared while i pulled up our booking. Sure enough, it was listed as included; the next staff member I found obliged immediately without even needing to see the booking details. We did have to ask for any room service refills like soap or paper, but they gladly supplied us as needed. We stayed a week. The water will only be hot if they turn on the heater, which you need to ask for, but there was plenty of hot water a few minutes later. The yoga classes are 150, meditation by donation. Their yogi knows his stuff, and his classes will remind you of all the things that matter in yoga, not just the asanas (not just the work out; yoga is not about entertainment). The place was really very quiet and peaceful. Their food was good, some things better than others but definitely practical and tasty, and their prices were good too. It's an easy 20 or so minute walk to the western group of temples and the center of town. The tuktuk from the train station was 150, which sounds like a very fair price for 10km. Also the wifi, available in the lobby/lounge but not in rooms, worked quite well the majority of the time. I recommend it!
