We were a group of 2 couples and 1 kid. Mango huts is a big property that is remotely located on the Pali - Khopoli road. The last stage of interior road is not in a very good condition. Well, if you brave that much, you are rewarded with a location that is completely cut-off from the chaos in the city, set in a rustic farm place. The bunglow with 2 bedrooms is small but smart and covered most of our needs. Though there is a lot of space around, we preferred to wine and dine in the cosy living room of the bunglow. It felt comfortable with the temperature dipping outside. Late in the night, we enjoyed a bonfire before we called it a day. The caretakers are simple people but very polite and friendly and take care of all your needs. The food was homely and delicious. We had made a special request for fish and were rewarded with prawns and pomfret. In some of the reviews, it is noted that there is not much to do. Well there is a nice Lotus pond just outside the gate and many places for a simple walk or birdwatching or just relaxing amidst nature. We had a nice time playing badminton with equipment provided by the hosts. There is a bow and arrow and one could try hand at archery or just play cricket. Verdict : This is an excellent place for a weekend especially for a group. There is lots to do around. The food is great. If you like a simple, rustic place that is amidst nature, this is it. The tariff, I think is a bit stiff considering the overall services. P.S. In summer the place might get too dry. There is no Wi-Fi.

The good The care taker and his family are wonderful people. The food was simple but fresh and nice. The rooms are big and spacious and for some strange Eastons have cupboards that are locked . The bad Othing to do with the resort but the road to this place is terrible . The bungalow is on a 6 acre plot of land but unfortunately the surroundings are not done up and overall ambience is not the best. There is nothing to do there apart from a swing. They said and reconfirmed the place to be wheelchair friendly. It is NOT , ground floor is not equal to wheel chair friendly. For the entire time my father essentially had to stay inside the room.

I am highly satisfied with my stay here. We were a group of 6 senior women and planned to have our monsoon trip at this place. I had read all the positive reviews and yet was a bit worried about what would be in store for us. It turned out to be a perfectly right decision to book here. I had booked a two bedroom cottage. The beds are little high but big in size. Each bedroom has an attached bath and western toilet. Both the rooms are spacious and are provided with AC. The living room has a sofa and another bed but no AC. However since the rooms have a high ceiling and are open above, we could get comfortable cool air circulation as we left the room doors open. There were extra mattresses, pillow covers, and bedsheets. All the linen and bed sheets, towels were ultra clean and classy with a fresh fragrance. Shower gel was provided. There was TV in the hall. The wooden furniture is antique. Overall, the cottage reflects the aesthetic sense of the owner. The hut has a nice sit out where you can enjoy the refreshing greenery of the nature. A river flows by the boundary of the property. The care takers - Sanjay Waghmare and his wife Janhvi, sister Surekha and brother Sangram are very affectionate and make you feel at home by their smiling and helpful attitude. We had given our peference/choice of food and accordingly we could savour very tasty meals. We paid 16520/- inclusive of lunch, dinner, next day breakfast, tea and taxes for 6 persons. I paid 600/- for the driver's meals. The booking was easy and all my queries and doubts were answered patiently by the Saffron stays staff and also the caretakers. Dining area is common for the two cottages - there is another one with 3 bedrooms. The food is unlimited. There is a fridge in the common kitchen and we can use it for storing our own items/drinks. Tea was really good but I would suggest to change the cups to a bigger size and of a better quality. Vodafone network was available in the garden area. The place is almost near Pali. We came via Khuravale phata but the road is in extremely bad condition. While returning we went further 10 kms to Pali and then took the road to Khopoli. This road is certainly better. I would advise to get all essential medicines, food requirements if you are with small children and elderly. I would certainly love to visit again for a longer period. Already after seeing our photos many of my friends were interested to visit. Thanks to saffronstays, the owners and the caretakers for adding a beautiful day in our memory.
