Stayed there with my family. Enjoyed the peaceful place away from crowd. The stream was flowing. We had nice bath on the little stream. We had to cross the stream every time to reach the restaurant and the kids just loved it. It is almost adjacent to the jungle. No tv in rooms. Signal was very bad at this place.

I came with my friend and his family. Our cottage had a beautiful view, the weather was not to hot nor too cold. The service was good. The people working there were really helpful. The food was nice. We heard the elephants in the night and the stream. Overall it was a nice experience. Will come back again.

We stayed for 3 nights at Elephant valley (About 20 kms from Kodaikanal). It is a great place to stay if you are a nature lover. Surrounded by forests and a stream flowing nearby It will give the feel of living inside a wildlife sanctuary with a chance of seeing wild elephants inside the property if you are lucky. Rooms: For the adventure lovers they have Peninsula cottages inside the forest (You have to cross a stream via a hanging bridge to get there. Since they don't have room service not advisable for old people. (About 5 to 7 mins walk from restaurant) We stayed in Kerala house which was a beautifully constructed house consisting of 4 rooms. Gives you the feel of staying in a traditional Kerala style house. It gives you a nice balance between extreme remoteness of peninsula and nearness of the other cottages. You have your own private stream nearby. The tree house was not being used due to rains. They have other cottages also near to the restaurant. Food. Food options are limited and very expensive. The only upside is that it is made out of organic produce. Since it is made as per order, you will have to order in advance. Activities Trekking to a nearby waterfall is the only notable activity. They have badminton, cricket, volleyball and carom board equipment to play. No WIFI, TV in rooms and cell phone signal will be very poor (Jio, BSNL and Vodafone work) Staff were courteous and ready to help. The weather will not be as cool as compared to Kodaikanal. It is pleasant though. Over all a nice place if you are looking for a quiet stay

A lovely place, sorrounded by thick forests and near a stream. Lovely place, no crowds. Good areas to walk nearby. If you are looking for some peace of mind, solitude and being closer to Nature then this is the place to be. Mobile connectivity is very poor and there is no WiFi or data connectivity, so no annoying calls and a complete break from work. Breakfast is on the house and also really well done. They have their own organic vegetable garden so the salad is fresh and light. No room service too. The staff is friendly and helpful. Kodaikanal is about 30 minutes away in case you want to go for some boating or horse riding. I wish they had some more games and books for the evening. I stayed two night and wished I could have done one more.

My family and I spent 2 nights at Elephant Valley in late December. It is a large and lovely property with an abundance of pepper and coffee. It`s a quiet place with very few activities and therefore, a good place to relax. Our priority was to just be together, relax and enjoy each other`s company - The place was well suited for it. The room we stayed in (Peninsula) made all the difference. It`s the farthest from the dining area and one needs to cross a shallow stream (Very slippery rocks) or a rope bridge (Wobbly but fun) to get there. The long path to the room is only lit in parts and carrying a powerful torch is recommended. Although safe, it was very dark and we had the staff escort us from / to the room after dusk. Having to cross the bridge several times a day and living in a remote end of the property made it exciting. The trek to the waterfall, about 15 minutes away, was a good walk and the only activity of note at Elephant Valley (They offer a 3 hour trek though). The recreation area near the dining area had a carrom board we made good use of. Visiting the organic farm and learning about coffee picking, drying & roasting (About 20 minutes or so in all) were the only other things to do. Kodaikanal, bout 30 KMs away, is an attraction for many but we chose to stay put at the property. Meals have to be ordered in advance as they prepare food based on exact needs of guests. This took some getting used to and is unlike what one expects on a regular holiday - With time, we did learn to order the next meal / snack during the previous one. This was the only small downside in what was, overall, an enjoyable holiday. Things to note - 1. Peninsula (Rooms 1, 2 & 3) are recommended for families / friends looking for excitement in an otherwise quiet place. The wobbly bridge and rugged terrain would be a challenge for kids and the elderly. 2. The terrain/paths n Elephant Valley are uneven - Elders are advised to pick a room very close to the dining area to avoid walking (The property is not recommended for those who have a challenge walking or need support.). 3. Please plan your meals (It`s the only way to fuel yourself. There is little room for spontaneous orders or experimentation).
