I happened to stay in this hotel on my solo trip to Kolkata. All the staffs including the reception were cordial and helpful. If you concentrate on shopping/sightseeing and do not bother about the luxuries in your room, it's a quite good choice. You can not complain about the amenities as long as you consider the amount you pay for the stay. Though the hotel is quite old, the room was quite clean. This hotel has mixed review here, but for my case, the service was up to my expectations. I had worse experiences in other places I stayed with my family on my later trips

I visited this hotel in 2014 and I already have a review for that. This year I visited this hotel in November, just because I thought it would save me some money. But the lesson I learnt is, I should never come back to this hotel specially if I have my family with me. In my previous review I mentioned some good points about this hotel, they still hold true like location, price etc. But this time, I believe the service quality of this hotel has been deteriorated more. And seems like the management has no idea what to do with those. For example, we got a bed where the linen and pillow cover were not changed after he last guest checked-out. We found hair on the pillow and the pillow covers were wrinkled. The blanket they provided, trust me, it looked like they purchased those from some homeless beggars in Kolkata. The whole room was indicating that either they do not clean it properly or they do not know how to clean a room. The floor-mat that they provided in front of the bathroom was so dirty that we could not put our feet on that. The staffs are all cunning and only tend to work if you pay them as if they are not getting paid by the hotel. While we were returning to Airport at the morning, 4 to 5 staffs came out to help with our luggage that we already managed to bring from hotel rooms to the car, but they were so eager to get tips that we did not stop them. And while we paid some tips, one of the hotel boys openly started commenting about the amount we paid in a bad manner. Overall, I am not coming back to this hotel again, even if someone offers me it free to stay.

this hotel was truly a nightmare for me. We stayed there for few hours but their service quality & room environment was horrible. Room service was busy as an money exchange agent & forced us to buy mobile sim cards! Rooms were dirty & bathroom facilities were poor too. Ideal for one timers. Those who want to stay cheaply; they should look for other hotels except this. As large number of bangladeshi stayed here & travel buses from bangladesh stops here,so its very popular. But why should one pay 3 star hotel rent for the service of a two star hotel???

We occupied 2 rooms for 2 nights in this hotel from 09Oct to 11Oct. Though the rooms were not specious but they were clean and had basic amenities compared to other hotels in new market area. The rooms got the full coverage of wifi which was free and had quite a good speed. The staffs were helpful though the reception desk didn't like me and vice versa. The breakfast was poor. But if you want to stay around the new market you have fewer choice of accommodation among which DK international is one of them.

First, i Booked a deluxe room from bangladesh 5 days ago before travel and also confirmed on the day of my visit but when i came from airport i gound my booking room is given to someone else. then i managed another room for that night as when i reached kolkata it was night. but the staffs was not much sorry for that. next day i shifted to another room. 2nd, the room service phone was out of order. i told the authority to repair for 3 consecutive days. but they cant do that as no person is available to repair. 3rd, their wifi doesn't work after 5 pm till morning when people need that most. 4th, everyday i have to say staffs to change my towels abt 4/5 times. as they doesn't do that promptly. 5th, total experience is bad. so today i am shifting to old proven hotel i stayed earlier. i am annoyed. 1st September, 2015
