I have been to mandarmani so many times and stayed in so many different hotels but this one was the worst hotel ever. So if u try to book the hotel there will be a lady named Tina Desai who will talk to u very nicely initially. Do not believe in the pictures that are available in the website. I booked a deluxe double bed room for Rs 2400 from MMT. The lady said the room costd 2900. so surely they were not happy with the discounted price that i got. She also said that u can upgrade the room if u pay 1000 more. I said okay and told if i liked the other one i will pay for it. I booked for two nights. Upon arriving the hotel sent two people to pick me up from a lane which is adjacent to the hotel. And during the rainy season we had to take a muddy route from the back end of the hotel. First thing I noticed that the hotel staff was not happy as I was taking the contact number of the person who was riding the auto. Dont know why. Upon arriving I was amazed to see that they did not have a reception. they placed a plastic table with two plastic chairs in the lobby calling it reception. They took me to the room which I booked originally and it was one of the most horrible room I have ever seen and they call it deluxe. No sunlight coming through no view of the sea ohh and also the bathroom window was broken. As i said that how can a lady stay in this room with a broken window in bathroom and the manager Mr Singh calmly said no problem the back end of the room is covered with iron grill which will protect people from peeping in. I was like okay either these people are completely insane or they aint understanding what i am trying to say. then he said we can switch u two some other room which was far away from the lobby. I said no immediately and thought of checking the premium room. I liked the room but as soon as I said about the price which was discussed with the lady they told that i have to pay 1000 per night. So 2000 rs extra . so my one room for one night costed 3400.The lady called the manager and straight away said either we have to pay what they are asking or they cant do anything. So we were left with a room costed 3400 or take a daark shabby room with no window pane. So i had to agree with the premium room. The room was huge but no telephone ,no bell, broken window lock,cockroach and flies everywhere, a huge transparent window in the middle of the room connecting the washroom ( so the concept is if someone is using the washroom the person can remove the curtain and the other person sitting in the room can view the washroom from outside. Weird !! It is ). Everytime i had to order something i had to get out from the room and walk near the reception to call people. The bengali cuisine was good but their other option was horrible.Do not try chili chicken or pakora there is no chicken inside its only made of flour coating. They dont keep bread so for breakfast u will only get puri and sabji. If u need anything else u will have tp pay. For dinner they will take order at 6 o clock on the evening. At 7am in the morning they will slam ur door to provide u tea in a plastic cup which is free. No decency.They did not provide water bottle even or regular water. We had to buy water.Hotel staffs are only concerned about getting money. At 7pm i needed medicine but neither they had nor they cant arrange transport to take me to a medicine shop. One of the staff told his brother to take me to a medicind shop in his bike and told me to pay him as he is helping me. In the mean timd another staff got some medicine and went to my room and told my partner that he had a word with me which he dint and took 100 rs from my partner as he helped out in this emergency. I additionaly paid 200 rs to the guy who took me in his bike to the medicine store. I can write and write another 5000 words in my review but I am sure by this time u have understood how horrible the hotel is. Its not a resort so i called it as a hotel. Do not go with your family. If you dont have any option then also u dont stay here leave mandarmani and go to digha or tajpur. I literally ran away from the hotel during check out as I knew they will ask for tips which will cost me another 500 rs. Thank you Massara for this experience.

When four of us friends thought of an outing to Mandarmani, I opted for Massara Beach Resort where I had stayed many years back with my family and pet. Much to my surprise, the place has been totally redone. The rooms are comfortable and the food is definitely good. The lobby at the sea front is great and the water reaches its base at high tide at late night. It is beautiful. The only hitch is the entry to the place is via the beach. The way down to the beach can be difficult to negotiate but a call to the Hotel Manager brought support and help to overcome the issue. Advice guests to reach early before the tide rises.

Terrible location. We reached there at about 12.30 pm. There is no proper entrance to this resort.Due to high tide car couldn't enter into the resort. We had to enter through a very dirty narrow road. Rooms are not that bad. Restaurent or dining room is dirty and full of flies. Hoprrible food. Only good part is the support staff. Willing to serve within their limited means and resources. Not a good place for a family holiday. Breakfast is not that bad but very little option. No bread or eggs or fruits.

This is a upcoming beach resort located in Mandarmoni. The room are a little small in the cottag style rooms. The hotel has a good beach view with direct access to the beach from back side. Overall the services in the property needs to be improved. Restayrant food options and quality and price needs to be looked upon

Good hotel gone bad to worse to ulgy. Staff attitude is so horrible. they are unfriendly, rude and quarreling. facilities are worn out. we changed rooms 2 times. 1st room dint have enough lights and 2nd room jet spray was broken and commode was cracked. the beach cars were broken (1 broke infront of us with another guest suffering the embarassment), the swings were broken. the breakfast was really poor, the cutlery was smelly and unclean the dining room was filled with flies. worst thing is they dint serve aquaguard water, they just filled water from the taps and served saying either this or drink mineral water which was charge at a premium. overall i wont even sugge st this hotel to my enemies.
