Marquis street is the center place of Kolkata in terms of shopping places, foods and visiting places and ticket counters. Paradise guest house is a semi modern hotel where you will get a good room with clean bathroom, elevator and satisfactory service in affordable price. I explored some other hotels and found this place quite clean. One thing may irritate you that, sometimes you will find smell of medicine as there is a medical center adjoined with this hotel. But it is not that much strong and it does not reach to the rooms. Moreover, this place is noisy. So, if you are searching for a quiet place than ignore Marquis street. You will find lots of restaurants in this road, among them I will recommend "Nawab eating place" if u love to taste authentic food.

These days while OYO is trying to standardise all hotels that they have tied-up with, what they don't inform is the actual dimensions of a room (which to be fair no one does). However, when one looks at the rooms before booking on OYO, they look spacious and big. The actual rooms are a damp squib! Paradise Guest House is one such place in Marquis Street, Off Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Street, Park Street, Kolkata. First, the rooms are not cleaned before giving out to the next guest. The dustbin isnt cleared NOR the linen is changed/removed from the previous usage. The breakfast is an apology to that name! The Room service goes unanswered almost every time you call. Overall, it was a bad experience.

Not very far from the airport. I stayed there very briefly, as i had return immediately on the next flight back to Bangalore. I had hoped to stay there for a day, before taking a train into Bihar .. but an untoward incident at home made me truncate my journey. But the brief stay was okay ... tiny rooms. No refund was given - not even a partial amount ... no consideration whatsoever. Which was sad .. but it's okay for transit passengers.
