What's Good: The view from the cliff and how well it is maintained
What needs to improve : Nothing much
Reason For Rating : Would be great if you could provide for preferences like check in and check out. Also, more details of the rooms opted in comparison to other rooms available would have been great.

What's Good: The greenery and the location of the room ( sea view)
What needs to improve : Room service could be a bit faster.
Reason For Rating : This is one of the best resort we have stayed in. To start with, it was a hassle free check in, very flexible, we reached early and within 10 mins we got to our room. The property is huge with lots of greenery around. The swimming pool near restaurant is big and was chemical free ( no chlorine and was neat and clean). The beach is nearby, have to walk around 10 - 15 mind. It's a nice stroll. They provide umbrella and a bench to relax ( free of cost) at the beach. The beach is neat and clean with only people from a couple of resorts around. The food is good, try the local cuisine. If you are non-veg, stick to the fish related delicacies. We stayed here for 2N/3D and was one of the best vacation. Finally, the check out was also fast.

What's Good: rooms and location
What needs to improve : hotel staff unprofessional approach
Reason For Rating : Hotel reception took 2 hours to provide us room by stating reason that they are cleaning the room. It was highly unprofessional and irritating. Only by interference from yatra.com staff that they provided us the room.

We visited the travancore heritage from 08.11.2018 to 11.11.2018. I must say that the property is splendid with lush green lawns and trees. It is a very well maintained property. Yet our stay at travancore lacked something. The downsides of this resort are : 1. The beach is quite far as opposed to what is being claimed by the management . It is surely not 500 mtrs from heritage homes. 2. Housekeeping services needs some improvement. Even for cleaning rooms, we had to call them twice or thrice. 3. I may be wrong but we had a feeling that the staff of the hotel is biased in a way that they cater more to the foreign tourists. 4. The rooms are okay but overloaded with unnecessary furniture which tends to be claustrophobic. For ex. We had a heritage room, however, with an extra bed there was no space to walk or open your luggage. However, we requested the management to change our rooms which was promptly responded to by the management. All in all, its a good property but I'm not sure if I would come back to this resort. May be I will explore some other options.

Fifteen minutes from the Trivandrum Airport, nestled atop a cliff overlooking the Arabian Sea and extending down to the beach, is the Travancore Heritage Resort. I stay at the Resort for pleasure not business, sometimes coming with friends. The building that houses the front desk/reception and Open Air Restaurant overlooks the Cliffside Pool, one of the two swimming pools, which is set between the Premium Heritage Rooms and Traditional Cottages. Cobblestone walkways lead from the main building to the cottages, where hammocks are tied between trees. The lawn at the cliff edge has a swing and benches to enjoy the view of the Arabian Sea (also, a fence to keep guests safely atop the cliff). Sometimes the maintenance workers have a hose across the cobblestone walkways that can be dangerous if not seen, especially while it is dark. There is a lift and stairs going to the beach rooms that is several stories high with a gym. On the Sea side of the Beach Rooms is a pool, and a little hotel restaurant open from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The far side of the pool has a walkway that goes out towards the beach. Housekeeping keeps the rooms cleaned every day. I have stayed here four times and the rooms are always immaculate. The Cottages have showers but some of the Premium Heritage Rooms have a bathtub in addition to the shower. Be aware that the room key needs to be in the slot made for it in order for the lights and outlets to be activated. The Resort is on the outskirts of Trivandum in the Chowara area, which is away from the city centre. I have had the Resort arrange a taxi for me to go into the city for a medical appointment or take me to the airport. The drivers and vehicles are professional and always timely. When I have eaten in the restaurant and made a special request (for instance, I like a mushroom and onion pizza), I requested them to use the garlic naan bread for the base with Neapolitan sauce on top, and they have always accommodated. The Resort is always friendly and has honored my other special requests, whether for late check-in, eating in the restaurant before flying out (though not staying at the Resort)and allowing my friends children using the pool (though they were not staying at the Resort either) before being taken to the airport. Though the property is lovely and enjoy the relaxed charm, I come back because of the staff. From my first visit in 2017, the staff has always been professional and friendly: easy to talk to, answering all my questions (and I have many). Whether the lifeguards or the front desk or housekeeping or the restaurant, they have always been courteous, respectful, friendly, and approachable. Kudos to the lifeguards Sajith, Anundhu and Rajesh helping me poolside. In the restaurant after I had my eye surgery, Biju would check if I needed anything from the buffet, remembering what I had liked beforeso nice because I was very shaky on my feet. Ajith who cleans tables is very attentive; the hostess Athira also checking if I need anything, asking after my friends family who had stayed at the Resort previously. At the front desk, Anoop is always helpful. (The front desk take my bags from the car to the room when I check in so I do not worry about the luggage. However, the van that takes passenger bags to guest rooms drives on the path guests walk on from the cottages that is only wide enough for the vehicleso be aware.) A special thanks to the Guest Relations Executive Soloman, who has accommodated all of my special requests for taxis, late check-in, late check-out with the attitude of a service-oriented professional in a friendly manner. Travancore Heritage Resort is my getaway when I need to relax.

Stayed here 11-16 Oct. 2018. Found the hotel to be very accommodating when we wanted to change rooms, and the staff were very attentive and helpful, particularly with a lovely birthday cake for my wife. Such beautiful and peaceful gardens set high on a cliff with a stunning view to the beach below, and a swimming pool that was hard to tear yourself away from!, and a very good restaurant.

We stayed there for two days in a heritage premium cottage with sea view.the location was too good . The only disadvantage is transport you dont get any local transport available so you have to depend on the resort cabs which is too expensive. We had breakfast and dinner , dinner was good and little expensive but slight disappointment with the breakfast . But overall nice place to just sit ,relax and enjoy with family
