Visited with group of friends. I did not make the bookings, so cant say how does that process go. Its located across the river. You have to cross the river on a little bridge which adds to excitement. Caretaker of the place, Vijay keeps you busy and is well acquainted with the area. He knows flora and fauna around. I will recommend to carry binoculars with you if you are bird enthusiast. He will take you to trek around the village waterfall and recommend many others. Food is homely. I think the garden around needs little uplift but otherwise serene place. The sound of river when you wake up is awesome. He will also arrange for activities like fishing etc though we did not have time for the same. A local trout fish farm was very educational. He will also arrange for local organic fruits/ghee etc for back home . Its not luxury but is great vacation for those who are looking for peaceful time off. I will recommend it.

We stayed at devat farm cottage Tirthan valley from 15th to 18th May 2019 . We booked a super delux room with balcony. The cottages can be located by using google maps , but once we reached the destination a little enquiry from the locals required, also Mr Prashant the owner of the property doesnt stay at the property location and the property is taken care by Indraji, Mr Thakur and his wife. Hospitality was excellent, even though the property is at a remote location away from hustle bustle of city , the care taking staffs really made our stay pleasant. Food was homely and tasty. Special mention to be made for Mr Thakur and his wife they have taken good care of us . Mr Thakur escorted us for a trek to choii lake and is now a dear friend of us . He educated us of local flora and fauna, history of the place and also brought us close to the nature . The tirthan river flows uninterruptedly beside the property and through the valley . One can spend an entire day seating by the side of the flowing river and not get bored at all. The ice cold water of the river and the humming sound of flowing water make the place pristine and rejuvenate your soul. The only thing which I would like to recommend for improvement in this property is to provide a dressing table with mirror inside the room, the bathroom mirror doesnt properly solves the purpose of a dresser. The water flow from the shower and taps in the bathroom is very slow which makes bathing little uncomfortable in cold climates.

For one the property is located off the main Gushaini road, which is great for nature lovers. You can walk by the riverside or fish. The food served was good too and mostly a homely affair. However, the owner does not stay on the property and rarely visits. Therefore, staff has low level of guidance/motivation to make the place succeed. They'll just do enough to feed you and only expect basic service. The lawns are badly kept and overall maintenance levels are low. Also there's nothing (activities/games etc.) to keep guests engaged. Certainly below expectation on the maintenance and staff at this price point.

After a day of exhaustive travel, nothing could have given me more happiness and fulfilment than seeing the resort, Devat Farms which was set amidst nature, surrounded by trees with a river flowing nearby. The excellent location of the resort combined with the warm hospitality of the owners, Mr. Prashant and his wife will linger in our memories. The rooms are impeccably clean and provide a beautiful forest like view of the surroundings. Since these cottages are secluded and are not in proximity of the road, there are no noises of vehicles or pollution. One can laze around and enjoy the chirping of birds, the vastness of surrounding mountains, the music of river flowing in front of the resort and enjoy the sumptuous meals provided by the caretakers. After two days of intense trekking, a reprieve to our tired souls was the bonfire, along with a treat of the much-priced trout fish barbecued on the simmering coals. Would end on a note of thanks to Prashantji, the owner of the resort, who ensured that we not only had a comfortable stay but also an unforgettable experience. Would love to get back there in that serene space.
