Brilliant reception. Well trained staff. Good food. Good amenities. Best sea facing rooms. Breakfast room has great wooden sealing worth gazing as it gives you a feel of meditation after a while. Swimming pool is good and very centralised having infinity look.

We were very disappointed in the Abad Whispering Palms hotel. The property is old and tired looking and horribly maintained. Full of stagnant algae filled pools which look disgusting and koi filled fountains which are putrid. You have to be very brave to get into their green water swimming pool. The service is completely lacking. Whether it is the front desk, housekeeping, food - they do not understand serving the client requirements at all. I feel even worse because we stayed in 3 Abad hotels in our kerala visit and all of them had excellent service and food and we were looking forward to this being the best experience because of the location. The check in was 2 hours late and then they were arguing with me that my bags are sent to the room when i was pointing out to them that my bags were out in the sun in a trolley down a path at the entrance! The lunch service took 2 hours, the extra bed took 6 hours after 3 reminders. I strongly suspect that there was chicken stock in the veg chinese soup at dinner. And when we went to speak to the GM he walked off to attend a mobile call and didn't come back to speak to us! Pathetic. PLEASE AVOID

We came here next day of our anniversary, to my surprise the place was so amazing just like pictures posted by other travellers on top of it the staff was very very polite and friendly that gave us such a lovely feeling, the front desk manager was so kind knowing about our anniversary he gave us an free upgrade, I would definitely recommend Whispering Palms and would love to visit the second time again whenever i get a chance. Thanks to all the members from ABAD and team along with #veenaworld #teamsignature for providing us such an amazingly unforgettable trip for our anniversary.

We had booked the resort as the wedding was in kottayam. We arranged a pre wedding party with 15 families. It was a memorable get together. They were gracious enough to give us the hall and all facilities were upto the mark.We had a 50th anniversary celeb as well where they surprised us with a cake. The attention and care given by all staff were so commendable.I would recommend this resort for any pre wedding party outside kottayam and to anyone who would love to enjoy a quiet break. The distance between the resort and kottayam town was only 15 mins.very accessible and provisions for the driver were also commendable.Thank you to Abad and all the staff from reservations to the staff in the resort for pampering us and giving us this memorable day to remember for years!!

Most of the accommodation is in lodges around the grounds. The rooms although large are a bit dated. The bathroom which appears to be in the open air is a nice change. Right on the edge of the backwaters with lovely views of the sunset. We were lucky to see the blue super moon eclipse from here. Buffet style food was more than satisfactory.
