We booked this resort as none of the other places were available. Our first impression of the place was rustic and serene, all bhungas open into the garden which was well maintained. However the facilities in Bhunga were not upto the mark. We expected better washroom & beddings. The food was quite basic as well however we didn't mind that since it was fresh & home made.

The Rann Village Resort is a fairly new one, about 30 kms from the White Desert, on the Bhuj Khavda Road, and far away from anywhere. The Kala Dungar (Black Mountain - the highest peak in Kutch) and the India Bridge - near the Indo Pak border - are about 30 to 40 kms from here. Consisting of around 10 Bhungas - bhungas are traditional desert homes in Kutch - all well anointed, with A/C, attached bath - hot/cold water, TV. No WiFi. Neat place, Very quiet and peaceful, open all around. Plenty of parking. Traditional local food. Spicy. Tasty. Efficient service although rustic and rudimentary. The staff is friendly and helpful. The man running the show, Hemal Manek, is a cool, well mannered travel organizer, arranging for taxis for airport/ railway pickups/drops as well as travelling around in Kutch.

We went to Kutch in first week of October when most of the resorts were not operational ( It's seasonal, most of them starts from 15 Oct and lots of tents come up from Oct end as RannUtsav kicks in) so it was one of the very few options available. Google map location is not correct so call and ask for directions once you start from Bhuj. We stayed overnight and food quality deteriorated from Lunch to Dinner and then next morning breakfast. And yeah..breakfast consisted of only Poha and tea. Carry your water bottles as this resort doesn't provide sealed water bottles. Water in washroom was yellow and just dripped from taps. Room was spacious, pretty and had AC which was the only good thing about this resort.

Stayed here in oct'16, pathetic service, extremely costly not value for money at all. Our meals were included in the package but didn't get good food, in Bfast we got only poha 1st day, 2nd day it was only Upma both were very pathetic, they were very bad n in dinner there was only 1 dal. Rooms were not good, blanket was stinking wen asked for cotton bed sheets they said we don't have. We booked this resort for swimming pool becoz kids were excited for swimming pool but no swimming pool was there. In the package thy promised to give access to swimming pool. Guys don't book this hotel in Kutch, it's not value for money, extremely costly, Better to stay in Bhuj n do up down from there.
