It is a guest house available at leh. It is a finest place. The place is surrounding with beautiful weather. Large number of people visit this place for good stay. The design of the place is quite old.

Background: I stayed at the Jamspal guest house for a couple of days during the Chadar winter trek. Winter conditions are obviously harsh and difficult as the temperature remains always in the negative; services are also hampered because Leh is mostly devoid of basic amenities Now coming to the experience: 1. The best part: Food. Breakfast had maggi; toasts and omelettes; tea/coffee. Tea was available all day, free of cost. The owner cooks excellent back dal and mixed vegetables - all done in homemade style. One day she cooked egg curry on request. Very, very enjoyable to say the least. 2. The Jamspal Guest house has two buildings - the old and the new. The rooms in the old building are very basic. Better avoid them. However the rooms in the new building are excellent - large, airy, nice furniture, clean bathrooms. They are a little costlier than the old building. 3. We were provided hot water to bath on both the days that we stayed. Some guests complained otherwise. Heaters are also available but charged at Rs. 300 per day. Given the harsh conditions, I will definitely rate it as Very Good - given the price, facilities and service,

In between treking and other sightseeing, we spent in total almost 2 weeks in Leh Ladakh. For the first 2 nights we booked at Jamspal and since the place is good value for money we kept going back. This beautiful home located in a side street at Fort Road is close to all bazaars, souvenir shops, restaurants and everything you would require during your stay. The rooms are spacious enough, clean and thanks to the large windows, bright. I would recommend this place to all kinds of travelers.

I stayed at Jamspal with a friend. We arrived Jamspal late at night. We did not recognize that the internet there was weak so they didn't receive my note of coming late. However, the family was very nice to welcome us with warm tea and some cookies and they did not mind about the late arrival. The location is good enough, about 10-15 mins walking to the bus station. And there is shortcut. To the main bazzar, also around 10 mins walking. The room was nice, the common bathroom was clean. The family was caring to their guests. They brought us and every guest free tea every morning when we woke up. My friend asked for hot water to bath (as electricity is also a thing in Leh sometimes), and the owner always tried to satisfy his guests. They have a nice garden, which I enjoyed to see. They were willing for any recommendations, hospitality spirit. The woman - mother could make delicious breakfast (home cooked of course, so it will not taste like in restaurant in a way) or dinner. Just ask them. For short, I would come back there if I come back to Leh and I do not other plan. Highly recommended the place.

It is a budget guest house in Fort Road. Various types of rooms are available here and its cheap. Wooden flooring, hot water, free-wifi and very close to Leh market, the bed sheets and blankets provided are clean. The hosts are very nice and helpful. There is a small garden where you can hangout with friends. The breakfast and tea served are good. Perfect place to stay if you are a budget traveller.
