What's Good: Location. Room. Dinner. Breakfast. Service.
What needs to improve : A.C. not cooling at all in afternoon. Bed bugs in our comferter. Too less alacart food options.

What's Good: A great place for a private romantic weekend so close to Mumbai. The place is hidden in Jungle and the whole Machan experience gives you a feeling of living in a treehouse.

Amazing resort near lonavla. No network esp. If you're with Airtel. Nice high rise cottages, dense forest surroundings and possibility of treks...Amazing weather in June. Had the most relaxing time there. Should give it a thought in case you want to be far from the madding crowd for a change...

Best place that you could hide in the laps of mother nature! Away from hustle bustle of the modern days. Homely food served with lots of love and care. The tree houses are tastefully done and no matter what corner of it you are sitting and reading / relaxing the view of the forest below is always in your sight. The open air shower is a nice touch too!

Only thing good about the place is the room and nature. But the quality of service specially for such premium resorts was way below expectations. 1. Had booked room for 2 days. One day at woods W1 and another in canopy C3. Both the days the water in the bathroom was absolutely muddy and could only see a change while we checked out. In short although I ended up paying almost 40k for two days, I was deprived of using bathtub which was one of the primary features we looked up to, and nor did we get compensated for it. 2. The day two at canopy was fairly good, until we saw a rat hovering over the roof right on top of our face. Called house keeping staff thrice, but the staff seemed to be poorly trained. We couldnt sleep the entire night due to it. And yes, we did take outmost care not to leave any door open. 3.Alacarte menu hardly has anything. Not even soup for light eaters. You end up unwillingly paying 12k per person on every meal. 4. Does not even have a toothpaste and brush provided in the rooms. This is although something I did not even realise till I went for brush. 5. While they say they try to reduce the carbon prints, they certainly do have A/C in the rooms. They try to just build on to the cost by providing paid wifi services. Hardly there are any activities or should say none, even for inhouse basic activities they are subjective. 6. There was no representative for the documentory show scheduled at 7.30pm until 7.30pm and we were wondering if we have come to the right place. When informed on these issues at reception, i was given a waiver of around just INR.500 as service charge waiver on the total expense. Infact when we were at reception for check out there was another couple who complained of same issues with infact 2 bats flying in their room and they couldnt sleep till 5am. Will never recommend this place to anyone.

It was on our bucket list since quite some time and we finally made it this past weekend. To start with, it is itself a very breathtaking experience to reach this place through a winding ghat road filled completely with mist and fog, as if you are travelling through the clouds. Upon reaching the place, there is Machan (treehouse) like structure which is the reception, which actually gives you an insight of what you can experience during your stay. There are several types of machans (elevated and also grounded) each having its own specialty and interiors designed according to a theme. Our stay was in the Canopy Machan which is elevated at a height of 35 to 40 ft above the ground. The interior of our machan is beautifully designed in wooden structure giving you the feeling of staying in an old styled cosy tree-house. The view from the machan (almost all of them) is mesmerizing and surrounded by nature and the deck staring at a valley view. It is simply beautiful. The only sounds you can hear is of the winds and birds chirping which makes the experience more pleasant. Nature guided tours, yoga session, other activities are conducted which is inclusive in your package. There is a SPA available which is chargeable. (Rs. 2300/-) The rooms does not have a TV, however Wi-Fi is available which is chargeable at approx Rs. 500/- up to 2 GB per device. Mobile network is only available at the reception for Vodafone and Idea subscribers. However, I recommend that you do not opt for the Wi-Fi and enjoy the nature at its best with your loved ones and family. The staff is very friendly and supportive. In-room dining service is available however only snack items (limited choice). The lunch and the dinner needs to be pre-booked by calling the reception. Rs.-999/- per person exclusive of taxes for Veg and Non-Veg. However, the food is very tasty. Ample of free car parking is available. Transportation can be a difficulty as it is located a little remotely, prefer bringing your own vehicle (4 wheeler preferably). Cab service can be arranged at reception, however it is on an expensive side. Pets are not allowed. Suitable for all Family, Couples and Group and Solo trips. Overall experience is excellent and will remain in our memories for a very long time. A must visit for all nature lovers at least once who want to disconnect from the world and just relax.

The friendly staff, the nature walk, the star gazing, the mountain climbing and the experience of staying amidst the jungle is absolutely thrilling. The trekking guides are very knowledgeable and ensure you have a fun and informative trek. On the downside, however, its definitely not a place for senior citizens. The uphill and downhill climb will completely drain them. And some may find it difficult to even walk till the room. Also, it turns out to be an expensive holiday, since everything has to be sourced from the hotel. Its a jungle, so no quick access to the market or anywhere. Hence, one should account for additional expense on food and activities. All-in-all, a one-time must visit.
