What's Good: Just the concept
What needs to improve : Managers nonchalant , brusque, condescending attitude. Overall property upkeep is highly disappointing. Food quality is worst and highly priced. Cannot recommend this place only for its concept.
Reason For Rating : Except the rooms nothing is worth the money at this place... The property upkeep is at its worst, Food quality is a total disenchantment and yet highly priced. The Manager of the property is very brusque , condescending , cantankerous with a nonchalant attitude. Overall the property cannot be recommended to anyone .

What's Good: Location. Room. Dinner. Breakfast. Service.
What needs to improve : A.C. not cooling at all in afternoon. Bed bugs in our comferter. Too less alacart food options.

What's Good: Ambience, atmosphere, unique concept

What's Good: A great place for a private romantic weekend so close to Mumbai. The place is hidden in Jungle and the whole Machan experience gives you a feeling of living in a treehouse.

This 25 acre property is bang in the middle of a forest. Each machan offers privacy, peace and great views of the forest. The machans are made almost 40 feet from the forest bed and the views of the mist rolling in from the mountains above the treetops is truly magical. There are many trails within the property itself and the place itself is like a beautiful haven. The staff is helpful and attentive. Since the property is in the middle of a forest, it does have a couple of challenges: 1. Mosquitos....with greenery comes an entire army of mosquitoes so do remember to cover every inch with odomos before you step out 2. No mobile coverage (except Jio i think)- this is a boon for some though :) 3. Not disable or elderly friendly- the paths and trails are a bit tough in case you're not completely mobile. 4. Food- This is one aspect where i thought there is scope for improvement. Since we're in wilderness and not able to step out for the duration of the trip- the hotel food did come across as a disappointment. It needs to have a bit more flavor and taste. if you're willing to overlook the food- this property is heavenly! Highly recommend.

Beautiful resort. Very well maintained and set up. Nature and eco friendly. But there is no fixed room tariff, which is odd. It is like air fares, ad hoc, the rates rise very steeply as u book closer to ur date of visit. The food is also very expensive, though good. Fixed buffet.Rs 990 plus taxes per head.Rather a waste for the elderly and children. Hardly any a la carte. The resort is 17 km from lonavala town, so one has no choice but to have meals there. The resort should have a fixed room tariff; more on the a la carte menu. Also, arrange to have an Uber/Ola cab availibility to travel from the resort to mumbai/pune.

We recently visited The Machan in this rainy season... it was such a wonderful experience staying there. The tree houses are really beautiful, made of state of art design. Staying in admist of nature/jungle is the best part.... we stayed in canopy machan, would surely come back to explore other Machans.

The place is too good to be real. We went to this place as a couple and stayed in their Sunset Machan. The girls at the reception were great and always smiling and ready to help. The food was good and so was the service. Complete disconnected from the world Would love to stay here forever. Kudos to Machan Team......

We had heard a great deal about this machan place and thought of exploring it.. but alas!!! The room had cobwebs all around, no facility for hot water, fridge wasn't working, intercom wasn't working, linen was dirty.Only After 35 hours of our stay out of 48,the things got fixed. The maintenance guy was in our room for like 2 hours trying to change the compressor of fridge. For fixing hot water issue, lights of our Room were switched off for around 2-3 hours.. it was a torturous stay for us.. would never recommend it to anyone.. the manager had no time to talk to us untill we demanded checkout after 24 hours of our stay out of 48...For such a beautiful place and property, such thing is totally unacceptable
